Show Time

Nicholas took one last drag on his cigarette and checked the placement of his cross punisher. All was ready. He sighed and wondered once again about this elaborate scheme. Was it truly necessary? Sure Vash the Stampede was the best gun on Gunsmoke, but this seemed a tad over-kill just to arrange a first meeting. "Trust me," Knives instructed, "the best way to get in close, is to let him think you owe him your life. It's the fastest way to become 'friends'." In the distance, he saw a cloud of dust headed his way. Chapel sighed, "Show Time."

From A Distance

The desert outside his bus window looked barren. Some of nature's deadliest creatures lived there Venomous snakes & scorpions lived there. Knives lived there. He lived there. When will you try to snare me again little brother? Far off in the distance he noted a slight movement. Ahh, thought the 50,000$$ man, there he is. So the rumors were true. It was still to soon to let them know he had seen the man. He had to time it just right to make it believable. Vash turned to banter with Millie. I'll be right with you, Chapel of the Evergreen.

High Tea

The black tea was bitter and hot, just like his resentment. Humans, he hated them. Rem Saverem was the only human he'd felt was worth saving. She was all he wanted, but she chose Vash. He had tried to be strong for her, but she liked weakness. Knives despised weakness. Weakness in others, and the weakness he felt every time he thought of her. It was time to put an end to weakness, and drive her from his heart forever. He would make Vash strong like him, then Rem would have to love him. A lone tear fell in silence.

Power

The power surged through him was like nothing he had ever felt before. His skin felt like it was being blasted by the heat of a blast furnace. What is this power? It made his Angel Arm seem like a child's play thing. He felt his muscles slacken. God it was warm, so very warm. His arms were powerless to stop the onslaught. He had no choice but to surrender, before it consumed him entirely. "All right" Vash gasped, "You win. Love is the most powerful force in the universe." Meryl grinned, "I told you I was a good kisser."
