b Blood Sky: Introduction/b

Blood soaked the earth surrounding Nemesis' Temple. Blood covered the worship site, although that was less distinguishable, owing to the fact that Nemesis' Temple looked like it was coated in blood already, albeit with spikes. Rakshi, Nemesis' Creature, a giant lion, grinned as he slit the throat of a villager with a claw, spilling the girl's lifeblood over the altar. The worship dish, which would normally be coated in orange flames, was now filled with a deep crimson liquid. Rakshi laughed and threw the body of the villager onto the pile behind him, a gruesome pyramid of death and bloodshed.

Arin sat up in bed, gasping. It had come again. It always did. The Guilt. The Nightmare. The fact that he was responsible for the deaths of a thousand people. Arin shook his head, trying to dispel the dream. 'It doesn't matter... soon Nemesis will finish this weapon, and rule the land!' He sat, trying to convince himself. 'And I, by his side!' He grinned.

Lufus smashed the bags of flour against the corner of the storeroom door, throwing white powder all around the room. He went outside and lit a candle. "Drive us out, will they!?" He howled, with the insane voice of a madman. "We'll see about that!!!" He dived into the village store.

i BOOM! /i

flour explodes when treated the way Lufus did, and is exposed to a naked flame.

The village store was consumed in a massive fireball, stretching fifty feet into the sky. The sky rained ash and debree, with more than one villager skewered from head to toe by a burning piece of wood, while others more were crushed by blocks of stone. The fire spread quickly, hopping from building to building using the lush vegetation. One dying women called to the heavens, "Save our village! Please! We call you! Save us!"
