The Letter of A Swordsman to His Sister

I have left our home in search for the true meaning of life. For years now, I have battled countless monsters. I have defeated them all. I have missed my soft bed. The warmth of our hearth. And most of all, you, my dearest sister.

There was not one day that I let my mind wander for any other purpose. I have fought endlessly yet my goal remains unattained.

But it is only recently that I have learned of our true form and image. It was when I confronted a huge minotaur in the City of the Dead. I fought with my best. I used all of my tricks and wits yet I was forced to run.

Upon thinking of you, dear sister, I found strength and thought it was either to bring the minotaur's head home as my trophy or simply perish in a raging battle. So I rushed towards the monster, sacrificing life for the sake of honor.

I fell. And I knew it was the end of me. I knew I couldn't come home a coward. I couldn't come home to your gentle arms. But when the dark fell over my eyes, I found myself staggering in a grassy field, alive.

I couldn't believe it at first. I had to burn my hand again and again, only to be convinced that it will heal as I rest.

It was only then I realized that there was no death. Only pain and rebirth.

Little sister, look at the world you were born into.

A world where all children were born to fight against monsters. A world where all were tasked to carry a sword and destroy unwanted creatures. Is this what you wanted?

In our world, immortality is an eternal curse. And I wouldn't want you to suffer all the pain only to find yourself waking once again.

Stay with mother and father. Your future is better with them.

I love you.

The Letter of Kafra Bloom to Her Brother

Dearest brother, I have waited for you for several years now. And you have not come back. Mother and Father died long ago. The village was destroyed and the people from Kafra Corp took me in. They taught me their ways. Now that I am 17, I work in the streets of Prontera. I help the men keep their goods and take them to the different cities.

Don't worry about invasions, brother. The Kafra Corp protect me from the monsters!

In my work, I meet different kinds of people. I meet swordsmen, archers, thieves, acolytes and mages. I even met a novice who had an orc warrior as his pet. But beyond all these, I met a swordsman who always sat among the benches in Prontera. He would speak to himself about immotality. I would listen to stories of his travels with bouts of insurmountable obstacles. But then he said, he was tired of killing monsters endlessly. That we were only born to carry the sword in order to protect our kind.

Dear brother, for some unfathomable reason, he reminds me of you. As you once said, you wanted to find the true purpose of your life. So did he. You said you wanted to be strong. So did he. And he too left his family behind for his own interests.

But one day, I didn't see him by the benches. I thought it was only for one day. I was wrong. He never came back. I began thinking of possibilities for his fate. He could've come home to his little sister. He could've gone on a quest. He could've achieved his goal. Or... he could've given up.

Please don't give up, dear brother. Come back to me. I've missed you terribly.

Disclaimer: I don't own Kafra. I wish I did but NOOOOO.... pif Oh well. R&R please!!! Thank you!!! mwah! Sorry kung medyo messed up. Bangag ako nung ginawa ko ito eh. Darn Palm.
