Inu Yasha Gets A Job by Cherie Campbell and Blythe Kinderknecht
Another old fan fiction I found! It's cheesey but funny! Arigato Blythe for all the fun we had that summer!
Kagome and Inu Yasha sat under a tree in Kaede's village. Kagome was studying up on different carrers she could take. It was a school assinment but she took it seriously anyways. "Come on Kagome! I'm bored! Let's go on an adventure! Or SOMETHING!" Inu Yasha whined. "Oh cut it out! Go chase Shippou or something!" Kagome snapped in reply. "Hmph! The little wimp is hiding!What are you doing anyways?" Kagome looked up to see if he really was interested. He was. "I'm looking for a job." She said finally. "Why a job?" Inu Yasha asked. "I mean we dont need one. Besides who would hire YOU?" Kagome growled in her throat. "It's not as easy as it looks you baka! I'd like to see you find one!" Inu Yasha replied Fine i will! You just wait and see!" With that he stomped back to the well and jumped in. I'll show her! he thought. I'll get a job and keep it too!
When he came out on the other side he put on the clothes that he had always worn when visiting Kagome in her world. He walked down the street and went into the first building with a 'Help Wanted' sign on the door. "Pizza Hut? Oh well. Beggars cant be choosers." He walked up to the manager and applyed for the job. He was assigned to the cash register job. Oh great. He thought. The only counting I know how to do is counting demons. He eventually figured out the way currency worked and sat down to greet his first customer. He smiled and when the saw his pointed teeth ran out screaming. Shit! This isn't very easy! Kagome was right.....Ok. no more showing his teeth. The next person who came up was about 14 years old and was a girl. She looked like she hadn't eaten in days. Oh well. This time when Inu Yasha smiled he did not show his teeth. "May I take your order?" She looked at the list and said, "I'll take a light salad and a diet coke." Inu Yasha wrote it down and passed it to the cook."That will be...uh...$5.50. Have a nice day!" He handed her the order and place the money in the cash register. That wasn't so bad! Two days later......
As Kagome walked down the street her stomach growled. Where should she eat......Oh Pizza Hut sounded good! "Sota! Mom, Grandpa! Over here! Let's eat at Pizza Hut!" Kagome turned and entered the building....and nearly laughed her head off. There was Inu Yasha as happy as could be serving food at Pizza Hut! That's where he has been! she thought. Inu Yasha looked up and said "Welcome to Pizza- KAGOME!?" Then Kagome really did laugh. "Inu Yasha! You baka! You didn't need to really get a job!" Inu Yasha blushed. "Feh. Forget you this is fun! Now what do you want?" Kagome laughed all the harder. "What I want is for you to get out from that cash register and go back to being you!" Inu Yasha got pissed off then. "Your the one who wanted me to get a job!"
"It was a joke Inu Yasha! But Anyway....I would like a large pizza with everything on it." Kagome handed him the money before he even opened his mouth to tell her how much it cost. "Uh...here's you order Kagome." Kagome took it to where her family stood and then came back to Inu Yasha. "Why dont you come join us?" Inu Yasha thought for a moment then agreed. "But first I have to go do something." I wonder what that is? Kagome thought. She soon found out.
When Inu Yasha came back to her he said. "I quit. Now lets eat then get back to my age. Oh and you can have the money I made. I don't need it where i live." Then they all laughed and this story ends happily ever after. (as far as this day goes)
