"Huh? What? Oh, I'm up, I'm up!" Hermione jumped up and saw Lavender giving her a worried look. "What's the matter? Can't a girl sleep?"
"Sure a girl can sleep, but not a girl who's going to be late for class. You didn't wake up when your alarm went off. I'm starting to worry about you Hermione. You stay up late doing your homework, you don't wake up to your alarm anymore and you skip your meals on the weekend to sleep. What's he matter with you?"
"I guess it's just that... wait, I'm late for class?!?! OMG! What class am I missing?"
"Potions."
"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! What about you? Aren't you supposed to be in class too? If we don't get there in like two seconds, Snape's probably going to dock Gryffindor, like 1000 points!"
Lavender just stood there and started to giggle.
"Quit giggling! We're about to make a school record of most points docked off in one day, and that's bad considering how many points Fred and George got docked!"
Lavender couldn't help it. She burst out laughing. She was laughing so hard that she was crying. "Hermione, calm down. I was only joking. This was like a drill. It's the weekend, so you can go back to bed. I was just checking if you were all here."
"I'm going to kill you Lavender! You almost gave me a heart attack! If you ever scare me like that again, I'm going to tell Ron that you like him."
"You wouldn't dare."
"Oh, would I? RRRROOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Shut-up, Hermione." Lavender said starting to panic. " I don't like Ron. If you tell Ron that I like him, I'll tell Malfoy that you like him."
"No you wouldn't, you don't have the guts to face him. And even if you did, you're too afraid of me to do anything about it."
"Oh, am I?"
Lavender ran down the steps of the girls dormitory and to the painting of the Fat Lady. She pushed open the painting and jumped out. Hermione was in close pursuit. Lavender rounded the corner of the hallway and kept running until she found Draco. Hermione followed her closely, but kept out of sight. She listened closely.
"Hey Malfoy. Lovely day, is it not?"
"Why are you talking to me? Wait, why am I talking to you?"
"I just wanted to tell you that..." Hermione ran around the cornor and "accidentaly-on-purpose" ran into Lavender. Lavender and Hermione both fell to the ground. Malfoy looked at them and snorted then turned and walked away. Hermione gave Lavender a dirty look then got up and walked back to the common room vowing to get revenge.
