Together
"Hey." I look up.
"Are you coming or not?"
"I'm coming." I hurry to catch up
with the large grey wolf ahead of me.
He doesn't act very nice,
but I don't really know anyone else.
And that hunter and his dog,
if I ran into them,
I'd be in big trouble without him.
I'm sure he doesn't care for me.
And why he let's me hang around
is a complete mystery.
Not to mention my chances of surviving
are a lot slimmer, by myself.
And I hate being alone.
I can't understand how anyone
could like it,
but Tsume seems to prefer being by himself.
I'm glad he lets me stay.
I know I'm not much good,
but at least we're together,
and for now,
that's all I can ask for.
Though I want to know
if it's really so hard
to say something nice,
just once in awhile.
But that's not like Tsume.
I'd be surprised
to hear a kind word from him.
While I've been thinking,
we've been walking through the alleyways.
Suddenly he stops
and then disappears from view.
Right in front of me
is that massive blue-black dog.
I can hear the hunter coming now.
I'm frozen with fear
as she lunges for me.
A blur of grey shoves me out of the way
while snapping at her.
"Run." I do as I'm told.
He follows me
and we stop a safe distance away.
I'm surprised.
He actually....
"You saved me, again. Thank you."
"Forget it."
He turns away and starts walking again.
I follow after him.
He may not be nice, exactly,
but still,
in our time with each other,
Tsume's taught me a lot.
But I think
I've managed to teach him something too.
That being alone is something no one should
have to deal with.
I think I taught him what it really means,
to be together.
Yea!!!! I finished. I think it's cute, don't you? And don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against Blue. Actually, I like her. She's loyal, protective and smart. (Hige & Blue Forever!!!!) AHEM! Don't get me started. Please. Til next time, see ya.
