Dark clouds filled the night sky as she looked up at it. The only light she could see was a feint glow from the moon that shone through the darkness that covered it. The rain softly tapped her face as it made its life journey to the ground. It soaked her clothes and her blonde hair, but she didn't care. All she could do was think about him. Thoughts and memories of him flowed through her head. She tried to remember everything about him. Every curl of his hair to all the clothes he had worn, every breath that he took to every move that he made, but it was all slipping away, deteriorating with time. She never realized how often she had to see him to remember these things, to stop them from disappearing. She breathed in with her nose and tried to remember his smell but that was disappearing too.

It all ran through her head: Why is he gone? Did I do something wrong? How could this have happened? She couldn't find her answers. She just wanted to lie down here and stay there until she was with him again.

They had plans for today. They were supposed to see this small play that looked interesting. It was supposed to be their day together, just the two of them, but now he was gone and wasn't coming back. But something else was bothering her, something bigger. She never told him. She never told him how she felt about him and now it was too late. All she wanted to do was tell him how she felt, tell him that she loved him, but that will never happen, he will never know. She wanted to see him again, at least one more time so she could tell him. The only sound was the rain hitting the ground, and then all that could be heard through it was a little voice that said "I love you, Gordo…"
