Hey! It's me again! How're y'all doing? Well, I know I've been gone a long time and I haven't updated that much but trust me, I'm working on it. here's a new story from me. A short one for the first chapter but I hope you like it! Please review!

CHAPTER 1 The Amazon and the Barbarian
"Time flies by so fast. Just one minute it's school vacation and before you know it, you're already walking down the street to your school." He gave a sad sigh and shook his head, his long braid following suit.
"Aww, come on Duo," chided Quatre. "I know you're very eager to start school. Wasn't it you who said that the only purpose of attending classes is to meet beautiful girls and ask them out the easiest way possible?"
"Geez, Winner. Since when did you start quoting me on things? And besides, ever since I met 'her' school became as exciting as walking on a carpet of hot coals." Just then, the bell rang and the boys went to their respective rooms. Duo and Quatre headed for the same room but while the blonde boy smiled enthusiastically at everyone who greeted them, Duo dragged his steps like two weights were chained around his ankles.
"Would you move it, slowpoke?"
Duo turned around, ready to smack whoever insulted him but stopped when he saw a pair of big blue eyes staring at him. Just as soon as he recognized the person, his stomach turned upside down. "Minako," he breathed. "I should've known it was you who'd ruin my day so early in the morning."
"Nice way to start the school year, huh?" she answered sarcastically. "Now that we've finished our greetings, could you move aside or at least walk faster? I want to go to class on time, you know. Or is that long hair of yours too much to handle?"
The Arabian boy, seeing that it needs someone to cut the conversation now, stepped aside and gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Minako. We didn't know there was someone behind us." The girl nodded but didn't let go that easily.
"No need to say sorry, Quatre-kun," she said gently, giving him a sweet smile. "It was no big deal and it wasn't your fault anyway. The thing is, a refined gentleman like you shouldn't hang around uncivilized barbarians especially those with long, brown, braided hair. It's bad for your image."
Quatre smiled at her and nodded sincerely. "Thank you for that piece of advice, Mina but I think you have to hurry to be able to go to class on time." He hoped that she'd take the bait and leave before Duo could think of a nasty come back. To his relief, she waved goodbye and ran.
"Be careful, Winner," Maxwell spoke up finally. "I think the crazy amazon likes you." All of a sudden, Quatre laughed out loud and clamped his hand on Duo's shoulder.
"You and Mina would make a wonderful couple!" he commented, still laughing. "I heard barbarians and amazons go well together."
Duo brushed his friend's hand away and gave him a disgusted look. "You've got a sick sense of humor, Quatre.
