Sorry it has been so long, watch out for heavy Chibi kawaiiness in the beginning here!

Chapter 6: Jailed!

It was early morning and Trunks and Goten were still sleeping when an armed-to-the-teeth Mexican swat team wearing all black walked quietly up the stairs to the room with the dozing chibis. An anonymous tip had led them to this hotel and they weren't taking any chances. No words were spoken as the leader signed to the members of his team, leading them silently to the door. They stopped just in front of the paneled wood and regrouped. The members of the team drew their assault rifles and a few people in the back put a hand on their flash-bangs and tear gas grenades. They continued the precise hand movements for a few seconds until everyone knew their place; they were ready to move in. The man in front carefully picked the lock and opened the door a crack. Then he threw open the door and about ten highly trained men poured into the room and pointed their guns at the bed. For at least a minute or two, nobody moved. All the men lowered their guns a fraction of an inch, shocked out of their minds at what they saw. They had expected a pair of bristly-chinned criminals wearing boots and leather and holding several weapons to greet them. What they saw were a couple of small children sleeping peacefully in their PJs snoring softly with the bedclothes clumped up on the side of the bed covering neither one. The Chibis stirred, and then rolled over, nobody moved. Then Trunks' tail brushed Goten's face and he sneezed unexpectedly. There was a sudden snapping of safeties and a shuffling of feet as the team collectively flinched. The lead man held up his hand indicating to his men to hold their fire, he studied Goten as he absently rubbed his nose and fell back asleep without noticing anything. They all breathed a sigh of relief and began to wonder what was going on; they looked at each other and then back at the small boys. Trunks rolled over again and his foot fell on Goten's head. Goten shifted his head and latched affectionately onto Trunks' leg and began to lick his foot in earnest. A blush spread over Trunks' cheeks as he started to giggle softly in his sleep twitching his leg. Goten intensified his licking and Trunks started outright laughing, the blush deepening, and his whole body shaking but he still didn't wake up. One of the men in the back started to chuckle and, unable to control themselves, the whole team went into hysterical laughing. The Chibis continued their antics without waking up and suddenly there was a light click. One of the members of the team still had his hand on one of his grenades and his laughing had knocked it loose of its pin! The men watched it bounce once, twice, thrice...and it landed on the bed. Everyone took off out the door in a stampede as it went off. The boys were capable of sleeping through a lot, but this was a bit excessive. There was a loud explosion, the windows and doors blew out, and the top floors of the hotel lifted a bit as the boys were startled awake in the ensuing fireball.

The smoke cleared and the swat team peeked into the room, expecting a grisly sight. Their eyes widened as the saw Trunks standing on what was left of the bed in a fighting stance and Goten's feet sticking out of the TV screen where the explosion had thrown him. Both boys were burnt and bruised but otherwise fine. Goten climbed out of the TV and dropped into a stance next to his brother. There was a pause. Then the men, hard-asses from birth, took off screaming down the hallway dropping their weapons along the way. Trunks and Goten stood for a tic, wondering what had happened. "Uhh...Goten," Trunks said slowly. "What was that?!" Goten answered equally slowly: "I dunno Trunks-kun...they ran away before I could get a good look." They powered down and looked around them. "Well," Trunks said half to himself. "They really messed up the room." That was a severe understatement, the room was burnt to a crisp and the only things left intact were the capsules that were sitting on the dresser, when there was a dresser that is. Trunks picked them up and looked at them. "Wow! Bulma made those things strong!" Goten exclaimed. "Yeah," said Trunks. She probably made them )v(ajinVegita-proof, just like the gravity room, he thought. They had trained in there with Otousan and )v(ajin\/egita many times and the thought made the boy shudder. Goten brought him out of his musings by tapping Trunks on the shoulder. "Trunks-kun," Goten asked softly. "Where is the bathroom?" Trunks looked about incredulous at the question until he looked in the direction of the bathroom and saw that it wasn't there anymore, just a big hole in the wall showing the city outside. "Well," Trunks started, scratching the back of his neck and looking a lot like Goten. "I dunno, why don't you look for another one, just go down the hall, I think there is one there." Goten took off running down the hall and Trunks walked to the hole in the wall and looked outside.

A few minutes later, Trunks was still waiting and was getting bored. He decided to go to find Goten but was greeted with the cold metal of a gun muzzle on the back of his neck. Ok, what's in your head? You guys already know that I can survive almost anything so exactly what do you hope to get from all of this? The thoughts ran quickly through Trunks' head as he raised his hands slowly in the air. "Hi Trunks!" Goten said, smiling, with a gun at his head as well. The guy holding the gun shoved it hard into Goten's head with a sharp: "¡Calláte niño!" Trunks again mentally slapped his forehead over Goten's almost incredible stupidity at times. He decided that it was better to see what the wanted instead of risking a conflict. The boys were led into the cars and sped off at insane speeds to a secure building, while all of their possessions were confiscated.

Minutes later, both boys found themselves tied to chairs in an overly brightly lit room being asked tough questions in Spanish that they had no answer to. Goten still thought that it was some kind of game, as they had had "secret-agent" games several times over the years. Trunks, however, was very worried. It wasn't his fault that they were in this precarious position, he hadn't known what he was saying, and it was just another phrase from the book. ¿Qué pása señoritas? ¡Nosotros somos fugitivios y vamos a destruir mexico! thought Trunks to himself, wishing he had thrown the stupid thing away when that waiter hadn't even understood him. He absently looked over at Goten; the people were shining small flashlights into his eyes and yelling at him in Spanish, it had only been a few days and already the chibi hated the language. He looked over again and felt his rage boiling up inside. How dare they do that to him? It's not fair, he's getting scared and I don't want him to be scared, Trunks thought. He turned away and heard Goten complaining again, it took all he had to control himself and not ascend. Why did 'Tousan have to make them swear not to use their Ki to hurt anyone unless their lives were in danger. This was the second time when Goten was being hurt by some natives and, whatever he said to Goten, he really wanted no harm to come to his younger brother. The tears gathered in his eyes as Goten screamed, he could feel what was happening to him and figured they must be sticking him with needles, they had done the same to the older boy and again Trunks could barely contain his rage. The torture was too much for Goten and Trunks felt his Ki level out as he fainted. Trunks looked at the floor; he was going back on his swear to Goten and the pressure fell heavily on his shoulders. But why is it my fault? I didn't do anything! Trunks thought. He started thinking about all the things that had happened because of Goten, and at that moment something snapped inside his mind and suddenly he felt his blame shift...to Goten. Why doesn't Goten just blast them? That baka! Otousan would believe us if we said that we forgot what he told us. Kuso! It's all his fault we slept late again and all his fault that he got captured! The thoughts ran rampant through Trunks' mind. Whether influenced by the drugs or otherwise, for the first time in his life, Trunks began to hate his brother for his abject stupidity, and all the trouble it got them in.

The daylight shone through the small window in the wall of the cell and Trunks looked absently outside into the courtyard. Both boys had their clothing removed and now stood in matching prison uniforms, Goten didn't mind but Trunks was feeling humiliated at being exposed in front of all those strange people and being accused of Kami knows what. His mind still blamed Goten for all of it instead of the people that had done this. It was infuriating, they had also taken all the capsules and Goten kept ranting off on some stupid reason why they couldn't blast themselves out. Goten's voice suddenly broke the dead still in the cellblock: "Ne Trunks-kun, at least it's quiet in here." Trunks didn't even bother to look at him. "I wish we could find a lawyer, I want out of here..." Trunks said, heavy with sarcasm. "Yeah, but we can't blow it up because of 'Tousan," said Goten. There was a pause. "Why did you have to tell them that Trunks-kun?" he continued. "Now my arm hurts, and-" Trunks cut him off, turning around looking pissed: "I was speaking in SPANISH! I didn't know what I was saying! Stop complaining it's getting us nowhere!" Goten cringed slightly at Trunks' harsh tone but Trunks didn't care. "Don't be so mean Trunks-kun; it's not your fault." Goten said, but Trunks was still indignant, thinking faintly about why nobody had taken note of the boys' tails during the interrogation.  Goten suddenly brightened a bit and said quickly: "Hey Trunks-kun, do you remember that thing 'Tousan told us about? The Shrunken Idol?" Trunks didn't even blink as he absently corrected Goten's mispronunciation: "That's the 'Shunken Idou' and of COURSE I remember it, I just wish I knew how it worked." "I do," Goten said matter-of-factly. Trunks' eyebrows rose a bit but he didn't believe Goten was capable of knowing something like that, especially since he did not. A split second later, Goten latched onto Trunks' arm, touched two fingers to his forehead and both vanished in a small flash of light, leaving the authorities to wonder how they had escaped.
