Chapter 14: 'Tousan to the Rescue

The rocks from a cliff face flew about as one small child was thrown into it with bone crushing force.

The cry from another small child pierced the air as his vitals were crushed and he was thrown to the ground.

An innocent bystander would vomit at the sight of it all, and the most hardened criminal would throw himself at the monster to try to end the pain and suffering and save the children. Even the first Buu wasn't this evil; even Kid Buu wasn't close to this sadistic. Any other monster would have given the boys a mercy killing, but Buu-Buu was built differently. He thought nothing of torturing young Trunks and Goten and the thought of all their pain left an appealing taste on his tongue. His mission wasn't to kill them quickly, he was to torture them to death as slowly as possible and await the arrival of his final opponent, the alien with green hair that Bebidi had told him of. Even so, the only thought consuming his sick mind was the writhing child before him. Yes! he thought. That child whose eye I blinded and whose arm I broke in two. He turned back to look at Trunks, thinking: And that child, who I almost suffocated and who would never have children of his own, if he lives! The sadistic smirk returned to Buu-Buu's face as he thought of what he could do to the older boy after finishing off the younger. His mind twisted, forming ideas. He even considered dismembering the spiky haired one and showing the bloody pieces to the other. He could tell they loved each other greatly. His smile widened. All the better... he thought as he remembered how he had exploited that love to ensure they would keep coming back for more, more pain.

Pure evil. That was all Buu-Buu was. A monster designed with a sole purpose to inflict pain and suffering on innocent beings, nothing more. A mind that was so sick it could make Satan himself envy it. What evil had brought it to life? Babidi might repent in the afterlife if he knew what his son was doing. He might have wanted the boys dead, but this was too much. Bebidi smiled as he watched the end of the fight in his globe, a smile of content written all over his face; he truly was that evil. He turned back to the huge ball behind him, inside was a greater power than the universe could fathom. He had gone to great lengths to make sure he had put together all the right ingredients. Buu-Buu was nothing but a sideshow joke compared to it, cheap entertainment for the twisted wizard while his ultimate creation matured and grew more powerful.

The monster had his fist poised, charged with Ki and ready to ram it into Goten's vulnerable stomach. He intended to tear a few vital organs in the boy, enough so he would die, but not so much so that he would die right away. Goten still had his eye shut, scared of dying like this and wishing only one thing. But he knew something was wrong, and his wish wouldn't be granted. Buu-Buu smiled, ready to finish off the child, who appeared to just be losing consciousness. He threw his fist forward, to where it might likely punch right through the younger chibi.

And stopped right before it hit.

Goten couldn't move, he was almost dead already, but he knew that something had happened; he hadn't been split in two by the monster. His wish might have been granted. Buu-Buu's fist twitched, he tried to move but was caught by an inescapable force. A strong hand held his arm fast, unyielding to any effort from the pink creature. A figure emerged next to him, nearly matching the description of the young man whom Bebidi had told him about, but his hair wasn't green; it couldn't be the right one. Buu-Buu managed to pull his arm from his grip and backed off a half a step. Fully enraged, he took a swing but missed and then missed again. There could be no doubt, Goten opened his eye and said weakly: "T-Tou-s-san?" Yonk barely noticed, he was mad as hell, enraged at what this-this freak had done to his sons. He was balling and unballing his fists, his Ki shot higher than ever before, and he smirked at the creature before him. Buu-Buu was pissed, nobody smirked at him, nobody! He threw his hardest punch and Yonk ducked right beneath it and, with the element of surprise on his side, pummeled Buu-Buu's middle. The monster choked in shock and Yonk drew back for a crushing blow to his jaw before burying his knee into his stomach and then spinning around for a kick to his head. Buu-Buu crashed to the dirt and couldn't get up in time to stop an energy blast from putting a hole right through him. The young Kalltorraiya-jin alighted on the ground and threw his arms to his sides, charging Ki into each hand and then slamming them together in front of him, launching a huge beam of energy at his enemy. Buu-Buu didn't have a chance, and he looked up just in time to see the blast as it caught him and sent him flying into a mountain. With a yell, Yonk blasted into the air and held his right hand in front of him; bracing his wrist with his left hand, he shot blast after mammoth blast down at the mountain, filling the air with light and rocks as the mountain collapsed in a spectacular explosion. For anyone else the Z-Senshi had even encountered, it would have been terrific overkill.

Yonk landed, fists still clenched, Ki blazing around him causing his hair to wave about like in wind. "Worthless, Kamidammed piece of shit!" he yelled at the pile of rubble. "Nobody hurts my sons and gets away with it." He hoped that he would be down for the moment; he must be pretty hurt by now. A voice suddenly broke the silence, "'Tousan! 'Tousan come quick, Goten's hurt bad!" Yonk heard Trunks' call and powered down, rushing over to the cliff face where his older son was pulling Goten's limp form from the rocks. He set Goten down just as Yonk ran up and took him in his arms, cradling the small boy. For the first time, Yonk turned to get a look at Trunks; he was bleeding all over and looked to be having trouble walking. He didn't know why, but was somewhat glad that he hadn't seen what had happened to him. He reached out a hand, "Trunks, you're hurt, too!" Trunks reached down into the bag of senzu at his waist. "No," he said weakly. "Goten first, I'll be...okay." Yonk grabbed the bean and pushed it as gently as he could into his younger son's mouth, watching carefully as he healed and then started to move. A sudden thump came behind him as Trunks fell down, too weak to stand, and Yonk quickly administered another senzu bean to him, and not a second too soon. Within seconds both boys were fully recovered and ran up at once to embrace Yonk. He wrapped his arms around the two and held them close for a while, never wanting to let go for fear of letting this happen again. His mind was being ravaged with pain, and he realized that he would make that monster suffer for every moment. The Chibis took a step back, noticing their Otousan's mounting rage, and looked back at the crumbled mountain.

Buu-Buu shook the dust out of his clothes and blasted his way out of the rubble, stepping forward to confront his opponent. This had to be wrong, this wasn't the right guy, why was he so strong? Yonk tried to figure out what was going on, Buu was never this strong, yet there was no mistake he looked just like him. He dropped down into his stance as Buu-Buu charged at him, flying at top speed. "Stay put boys," he said quietly. "I will handle this from here on; you don't need to do anything else." Trunks and Goten nodded and jumped back behind some rocks for protection and they watched the fight unfold. Buu-Buu threw a punch and Yonk blocked it to one side, kicking out toward him forcing the pink monster to duck below it. He rammed a hand into the ground and sent a kick upwards into Yonk's middle; Yonk flew up, recovered, and shot a blast downward and the dust and rocks flew everywhere and all the Chibis could do was stare at it all. "Incredible," Trunks muttered, thinking about how much stronger 'Tousan was and Goten nodded in agreement. Another blast was thrown and it exploded throwing Buu-Buu to the ground. He rolled out of the way as Yonk's foot buried into the rock, to which he punched outward, missing by inches. There was a crash as a building exploded and a flash of light from another energy blast as it cratered a nearby mountainside. The two combatants phased out of sight and all around mountains fell to dust as their fists met, sending shockwaves across the area. Buu-Buu threw a Ki ball toward Yonk and he knocked it aside in time to see the pink monster vanish only to bury his foot in the young man's back, sending him flying. A one-hundred foot wide rock was thrown and then fell apart as Yonk sliced it in two with a Ki sword. He phased back behind Buu-Buu and kicked him in the head; Buu-Buu jumped back and threw another kick right back at him which was quickly blocked. Fresh explosions, and a stray energy blast missed taking off Goten's head only to hit a tree and reduce it ashes.

Yonk landed and Buu-Buu dropped to the ground right in front of him, they stared each other down for a moment. A smile came to Buu-Buu's face, "Quite impressive, I think that shall do for a decent warm-up, but now you will die," he said. Yonk frowned, "Your bluffing!" he called back. Then Buu-Buu lust vanished. A sudden blow caught Yonk's jaw and he was thrown aside and then several more blows sent him flying to the dirt. He got up fast, spun around and blasted toward where his sense told him to, hitting nothing. Buu-Buu appeared behind him and a kick sent the young Kalltorraiya-jin hurtling into a building, crashing through several more and then coming to rest at last in a cloud of dust. Buu-Buu smiled, after all that he was still toying with the boy, things were too easy for him. Yonk stood up, wiping the blood from his jaw and looking back toward his foe, who landed nearby and scoffed, "Was that all? I could kill you right now, so why don't you just leave me to my fun? I was expecting someone stronger, but apparently you just aren't good enough!" Yonk smiled, that same confident smile, full of pride in his abilities; Buu-Buu hated that smile more than anything. Yonk clenched his fists, bringing them up, a gleam went through his eyes and his Ki started to rise; his aura growing to fill the entire area with a whitish hue. A few wayward bolts of electricity crackled through the air around his body as he started to lift off the ground, which began to crack from the force. His black eyes seemed to shine from within, shimmering with an iridescent sparkle, and his hair lengthened, becoming spikier. A green glow surrounded him growing into an aura as Yonk clenched his fists tighter and started to yell. The clouds above scattered and more mountains fell as a shock of energy was sent out, cratering the ground and melting rocks as his hair bleached green. The furthest reaches of the universe trembled at the power and the whole planet seemed ready to split as the proud young warrior reached super Kalltorraiya-jin. The blinding glow faded and Yonk stood, green aura pulsing around him, his eyes even shinier, like obsidian glass. Transformed at last, he spoke: "It's a real fight from here on."

Yonk flew up, and charged Buu-Buu at near light speed, so fast no other being in existence could see him. His fist drew back and then forward for a hit on the pink monster's forehead and seemed to have enough force to split him in two. The sound of the impact was loud and clear as Yonk's fist found its mark and hit dead on with a crack and the ground around the two crumbled and warped. There was only silence and the sound of his Ki flaming around him, Buu-Buu hadn't moved an inch. "Im...possible...," Yonk said, his eyes widening as his adversary smirked at him, unaffected by his powerful attack. Wordlessly, Buu-Buu pushed forward and crashed his hand onto Yonk's face, pushing him through several mountains and then blasting him in the back as he tried to recover. Yonk punched out and Buu-Buu grabbed his arm, flinging him around like a rag doll before wrapping his tail around him and crashing him into the ground several times. A sudden attack from Gotenks at super Saiya-jin 3 seemed to faze Buu-Buu for a second, but he quickly blocked his kick and threw him into the ground as Yonk came back for another attack. The two warriors of good battled on and neither seemed to gain the upper hand; Buu-Buu was just too strong. Gotenks spun around and punched out but his arm was snatched up by the maniacal beast and he was thrown into Yonk and both crashed into a tree and bounced across the ground. Yonk flew back up but was hit to one side as Gotenks came back from the other and a powerful blow sent him into the side of a cliff and just as he hit he separated and Trunks and Goten fell unconscious to the cold dirt below. Yonk returned quickly but was almost instantly knocked back down by Buu-Buu, who kicked him across the grass and into the dirt. He stood up again and tried to make another attack but his movements had already been countered and Buu-Buu hit his open palm against Yonk's side, blasting outward at the same time and effectively launching him into another cliff face. Yonk emerged and jumped to the ground, punching toward a ghost image which faded away to appear right behind him. A hand thrust out and stopped mere millimeters from the side of his cheek as his jaw dropped open. It couldn't end like this. Buu-Buu smirked superiorly and cast him aside and onto the ground where he fell down, his green aura fading to nothing.

He spat blood on the ground, this can't be it, Yonk told himself; I still have more in me. Buu-Buu was high in the air and started to charge a massive ball of red Ki that would destroy the entire world if unchecked. Yonk looked down at his hand, toward his left index finger and the mark there. It was not just a mark; it was the mark, the symbol. As he glanced at the many shapes seemingly etched into the tip of the finger, arranged into an intricate pattern, he thought of what it meant. Each strange shape represented a different part of his philosophy, it was the same symbol as would be on the finger of every other full-blooded Kalltorraiya-jin, had he not been the only one left. It was a constant reminder of what he was, and what he stood or, ultimately, it meant he would never give up. Not here, not now. Never. The thought of his own arrogant pride consumed his soul as he stood up and dropped back into his stance. Buu-Buu threw the ball of Ki, nearly a half-mile wide, blotting out the sun and casting the area in shadow, headed right for him. "I...am a Kalltorraiya-jin...I never lose!" he said, bringing his hands to his right side, one above the other in the familiar stance and he started charging up for one last effort. His hair rose higher and turned green again as he jumped back to SKJ, tapping into his deepest reserves of power. This was it, this was all he had left, it was now or never, one last chance to beat that monster and save the world, again.
