Take my hand,
As we are slowly cast away from heaven's call,
I feel the black horizon call on me,
Eden's gates are withheld from us,
This is our time,
Towards the shadows we fall.
"It's been too long since that day," said a lone figure peering out towards the sky- light. Her hands brushed lightly through her sleek brown hair. The rustle of leaves and twigs from the wind echoed throughout the area of the now bleak house. The dark shadows scattered around the area with only the bright crescent moon as its light. The shadows danced around her. Taunting her as though saying that her life was a cold and empty shell of what she once was. She knew that she had given up. She had tried to fight, but ended up losing him to the shadows of the night.
She felt the calm breeze blow against her skin and she shivered slightly from the coldness surrounding her. Her green eyes stared blankly at the midnight kissed sky. It's dark hues of purples and blacks reminded her of the grim feeling of loneliness. That's how it had been ever since that day, that chilly November day. That day was the day of reckoning and resurrection.
She let out a sigh and continued to drift off into her lovely dream world of memories, hopes and dreams. She remembered the day they went to the beach house. She smiled at the thought of that day. They had been so happy back then. She remembered how the warm soft sun had soaked their skins and had beat down on them with a hearty glow. She still remembered the feeling of being kissed by his soft red lips. It was soft and tender like a rose petal. She had blushed after that and had kissed him back swiftly returning the love.
That was the day he had proclaimed his love to her. Right in front of everyone he screamed he would love her until his dying breath. No one could ever keep him from her. Not even Akito! He had kept that promise. Until his dying breath he remained to love her. She pulled her knees even closer to her chest. One wet-soaked tear traveled down her pale face. She let a soft whimper and let herself be carried away through her thoughts.
"Even a rose has its thorns," she said quietly into the night breeze. The trees shook their head in agreement and continued to sway with the breeze. She knew they wouldn't be happy for long. Anything to do with happiness in that family was taken away by the devil himself. No breath of happiness had ever been leaked through. Still it would never change.
Breathe in. Breathe out,
The battle has just begun,
Watching Eden fall as we walk away,
The blood soaked tears still stain the light of day,
We have survived,
We are together in eternity,
Watch us fly!
She tasseled her hair slightly and continued to reminisce. She remembered the day her life had began with him. She remembered everything and continued into the painful flashback....
