Chapter 1 The Prolouge
Nediseu stood staring out the window into the busy streets of Tar Valon, muttering under her breath about "Fool, blind people." Nediseu could not see how anyone could live in the same city as the Tar Valon witches. She would rather be anywhere else this side of the Dragonwall, but she had duties that needed to be attended to. "You know the consequence of failure, the Great Lord does not tolerate failure." Grimacing Nediseu turned to face her companion. She could not see how Zealea could keep such a smooth tone; Nediseu was visibly shaking. Trying to keep her voice steady she replied, "I know the price of failure." She could only imagine (flashback)...pain enveloped her, pain like nothing she had felt before, like 1,000 needles piercing her skin. PAIN, there was nothing else, nothing but pain until suddenly "YOU WILL NOT FAIL ME AGAIN. I WILL MAKE THIS EVERLASTING NEXT TIME." Collapsing onto the fiery rocks of Shayol Ghul she knelt before the Great Lord "Pleas-"... (flashback) collapsing to her knees, Nediseu barely realized the sweat now dripping off her forehead, she knew that even just a flashback of Shayol Ghul could do damage. "And you know how bad that can be...Nediseu? Nediseu!" Zealea's voice was barely audible as blackness enveloped her.
Pushing through the crowds Zealea spotted one of the Children of the Light. Normally this would result in her ducking into a store or avoiding eye contact at any cost. Today was different, she wondered if Nediseu would be well enough to complete her mission. If Nediseu failed, the trollocs would more than likely have her on a spit as well. She decided that when she reached the White Horse, a commoner's inn not too far from the White Tower, she would awake Nediseu. Glancing over her shoulder, she realized the Child of the Light was gone; with a heavy sigh she entered the White Horse. Men gambling, and drinking was a common site now, she barley glanced at the already full common room, as she marched straight ahead, up the winding stairway, and to their room. The sun was still up, and Nediseu had only been asleep for a few hours, Zealea wondered if she should wait another hour before waking Nediseu up. Nediseu would need to be at full strength, this was one mission they could not fail...(to be continued if I get good rewiews...)
