Title: Inseparable

Author: Legolas-gurl88

Disclaimer: *sort of quoting Thé oden* When I last looked, Tolkien, not Legolas-gurl88 owned everything. *sob*

Author-Note: Once again, I would be much obliged if you were to review. Hannen lle.

A more important Author's Note: If you look up at my disclaimer, Théoden is spaced, just like a lot of the other names I have that have those special characters above the letter. It is very annoying and I am trying to figure out to stop it. But in the future, if something is spaced like that, please, ignore it and put the two words together to make one word. I apologize and will try to fix it A.S.A.P.

On with the story. I know you've all been waiting for this moment. I know you guys are going to kill me for what I am to do to them! *evil laugh* *chokes on gum* What? Where did the gum come from? I wasn't even chewing gum!… oh well. Story!

5. What will happen?

"Estel?" Legolas said unbelievingly.

"Yes. It's me."

"It is." Legolas said. He opened his arms and Estel ran to him and hugged him like a brother, inhaling the forest scent on Legolas's tunic.

Legolas pulled Estel away, his eyed mingled with fear, worry and anger.

"You're mad at me, aren't you, Legolas?"

"Estel, why did you come? Why did you come when your father and I gave you specific orders to stay where you were?"

Legolas's voice now sounded its angriest.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to--"

"Help. I know. Estel… ARG!" Legolas swore and kicked a rock angrily and it flew through the air and landed 20 feet away. "I told you to stay! It would have been easier!"

"I just wanted to help!" Estel said. He didn't know what else to say. Tears streamed from his eyes. He had never seen Legolas this angry and it broke his heart to have Legolas mad at him.

"Be silent, Aragorn." Legolas said. Estel looked at the elf as he turned his back to him. No one ever called Estel Aragorn… unless they were mad at him.

"I can't believe you, Aragorn! You disobeyed me and Elrond!"

"I'm sorry, okay?"

"No, it's not okay. You put yourself in danger. How would it look if you had died when I'm supposed to be looking out for you? Do you want wars between the Elves and Men to start? You are the King, Aragorn!"

"I don't want to be king! I want to be with you! I want to help fight!"

"I can't let you. I'm sorry, Aragorn. You leave me no choice."

"For w-what?" Estel, said, his face wet with tears. Legolas looked sad and Estel saw a stubborn tear run down his high and proud cheek.

"Go home, Estel." With that, he turned and left Estel standing by himself to cry, the only place to go now, was back to Imladris.

Elladan and Elrohir had long been tracking the elves footprints.

"We should just give up." Elladan said.

"Yeah. Let's go see Grandmother and Arwen. Maybe they'll know what to do."

And so they turned to the right, on the path to Lothló rien instead of left, to Mirkwood.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Estel sobbed as he rode on his horse, riding to Rivendell. He didn't think Legolas would be that mad at him. Estel gave another sob, leaned over and cried into the mane of his horse, who lead the way home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Legolas was dazed. He now trusted his horse, Mä ron, to lead the way to Mirkwood because his mind was on Estel. He had not yelled at Estel like that ever, and it was as much of a shock for him as it had been for Estel. Hadn't he gotten what he's wished for? Hadn't Estel been there? He had wanted Estel to be there with him, yet he yelled at him to leave the moment he found out who Shy really was? He should have at least taken Estel home to ensure the boy's safety. Legolas's insides tightened with guilt. But it was either Estel or Mirkwood. He was doing the right thing… wasn't he?

Legolas had the strongest urge to turn around, but stopped himself many times. Estel could take care of himself. Mirkwood needed him.

~"My Lord, are you alright?"~ One of the Elves asked as Legolas choked back a sob, but was unable to hold back the many tears that threatened to spill down his face. Legolas nodded and in a shaky voice, he commanded ~"Keep riding. We must ride to Mirkwood."~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Estel's head was down as he cried long and hard. Nothing was fair. If he was king, why couldn't he fight for what he believed in? Why was he treated like a child?
"I hate you, Legolas." He mumbled to himself, regretting and quite shocked at what he had just said, "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you…" He muttered over and over.
"Well, well, well, what have we here?" A gruff voice cackled. Estel's head jerked up and he saw in front of him, a vicious orc. He tried to turn his horse around, but another orc jumped on him, knocking him off his steed and pinning him to the ground. He was pulled by his hair into a kneeling position.
"Help! Hel--" His mouth was covered with a scabby hand and a knife was pressed to his neck.
"Shut up. We need you to get to the Prince of Mirkwood, but the orders were for you to be brought to master dead or alive and we're not picky about whether or not you make it where we're going, still breathing."
The orc threw Estel painfully to the ground and placed his foot on the small of the child's back, holding his head up by the hair. About twenty more orcs appeared.
"HELP!" Estel yelled again. The orc holding him down shook the boy's head violently, making the warg-battle bump on the head throb painfully. He shrieked in agony.
"I said shut up, Maggot!" The orc spat.
"HELP!" Estel cried at the top of his lungs, making his voice tear.
"That's it! I told you to shut up! You had your chance! Now, boy," the orc placed his sword, once again, to the boy's neck, "say goodbye--"
"Touch him and I swear, by the Valor, I'll kill you all!"
Ummm, warning… this story may contain some cliffies. Heh, heh. Please, don't burn, hang, drown, stab, mutilate, shoot, kick, punch, etc. me until later. I must finish this story! I'm sorry for all the cliffies and I am even sorrier for the shortness of these chapters. Honestly, they are MUCH longer on my computer! It's just I use a different font when I type it. I'll bet you can all guess who said the last line? I ain't sayin' even if you do know, because I want to feel like I am making this a huge cliffie. I feel really bad for Estel.
Anywayz, let me know how you feel about this chapter. I have a bad habit (heh, heh… I typed hobbit) of making the story really short so far and making it so, so much has already happened. Oh well, if it keeps you all interested. Now, I am typing the 14th chapter right now and I have two more plots that follow this one, so the story will keep going for a while. But if you have any ideas of any more plots, let me know and I'll see how many of them I can work into the story.
If you guys have any criticisms, just review them to me! But please keep in mind, this is a fanfiction story, so not everything has to make sense. I'm not pointing fingers if that's what you all are thinking!
Also, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THRANDUIL'S FATHER IS/WAS?!?!?! Review the answer to me, please. I can't find it anywhere!
Review time!
Sammy- Hey, sammy! Don't worry, I'm not one of those authors who posts every chapter every month. I wouldn't be able to stand not doing it for that long. I'm reading this one story where the person hasn't posted since the end of November! But if I ever don't post soon, I'd have a very good reason first. I won't ditch you guys! I already have chapter 14 finished, I'm just waiting and giving people a chance to review, first before I post again. I hope you liked this chapter! Could you guess who said the last line? Dun, dun, dunnnnn!
Deana- Here's chapter 5, for ye! Enjoy!
Trinityelf- "Shoot!' Oh boy, finals week… whoop-de-doo… sigh…
Seeing-spots- Hey! Thanks for the info. I was just thinking along the lines of Elladan and Elrohir being able to hear the trolls and *cough* other things there because they are elves and have extraordinary hearing. Anyway, it's a fanfic, so it's nothing to kill ourselves over, huh? I'm glad you like it. If you have anymore criticisms, let me know. I'm happy to take any criticism if it will help me in the future!
DO NOT FORGET TO REVIEW! HELP ME MAKE IT TO 20 REVIEWS, PLEASE! IT WOULD MAKE ME MOST HAPPY!
