Stupid Author Note: REVIEW!

Important Author Note: I'm still working on the spaces between the names with special characters on them. THEY ARE STILL SPACING AND IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! So, I'm going to try various things. If the story turns out weird, I apologize, and if it's a major thing, I'll repost the chapter. Otherwise, could you folks bear with me for a small while? Thanks! You guys are great!

Chapter 6: Fighting

"Legolas!" Estel yelled, looking at Legolas's angry face, an arrow cocked in his bowstring, aimed at the orc (who shall henceforth be known as Gnarg).

"Dina, Estel." He said, knowing the child could understand that much. [Be silent]. Estel obeyed.

"Don't spit that filth out of your foul mouth, Maggot!" Gnarg yelled at the elf.

"Let him go." Legolas whispered dangerously, his blue eyes (which had turned black in his anger) flashed treacherously.

"Why should I?"

"If you don't, I'll kill you all."

"If you haven't noticed, there are about nineteen more of us and only one of you."

"Let him go!" Legolas yelled, his voice echoing over the area.

"Who are you, anyway?"

"My name is Legolas Thranduilion, heir to the throne of Mirkwood."

"In other words, you're the prince."

"Good guess!" Legolas said sarcastically.

"Well, boys, here we are, thinking we're going to have to hunt him down, and he kindly shows up for us, saving us the trouble!"

"I said LET HIM GO!" Legolas shouted.

Gnarg picked Estel up by the hair and threw him to three orcs, who held him by the arms, jerking his head back and placing another sword on his neck.

"One wrong move, Princy, and I'll cut his throat to bits! Lower your bow or the kid gets it!"

Legolas took the arrow from his bow slowly and let his arms drop to his sides.

"Good Princy." Gnarg growled.

"What do you want?" Legolas asked.

"Our master needs you."

"For what?"

"Confidential, I'm afraid." The orc chuckled menacingly.

"Then let Estel go free if it is me you want." Legolas glared at Gnarg.

"I'm afraid I can't. You see, we need him to get to you and if we let him go, he'll spill the beans about us."

"You bet I would!" Estel yelled.

"Dina, Estel!" Legolas yelled again.

"I'll tell you what, Princy," Gnarg said, "I'll make a deal with you."

"I don't make deals with the scum of Middle-earth!"

"What choice do you have?" Gnarg said, pointing to Estel. Legolas stared at Gnarg with hatred in his eyes.

"What's the deal?" He asked.

"We fight. I win, you and the boy come quietly. You win, we give you a ten minute head start."

"Never." Legolas whispered loudly.

"Suit yourself. Boys!" He commanded to the twenty orcs, "Feast on the child!"

"Legolas!" Estel yelled as the orcs aimed at his head with the sword and brought it down on him. The blade stopped two inches from Estel's neck and the orc fell dead, an arrow lodged in his forehead. The orcs looked around stupidly, all eyes resting on Legolas, who's bow was up, another arrow ready to fire.

"You!" Gnarg yelled, running at Legolas. Legolas aimed his arrow at the orc.

"Go back to where you came from!" He yelled and let his arrow fly. It struck Gnarg in the forehead and he fell dead. The other orcs paused for a spit second, then ran at the elf.

Legolas ran up a large rock and shot at the orcs. Quite a few fell dead, but more appeared to help. Soon, Legolas was out of arrows.

Estel, who was still being held by the orcs, watched as Legolas skillfully unsheathed his white blades. What had the boy done? He had not only risked his life, but Legolas's also. He watched as Legolas killed three orcs. Legolas was fighting for Estel, not himself. Even if Legolas did kill some orcs, he would never win. More and more came to help. It was hopeless. Even if he had not fallen yet, Legolas would lose this battle.

~"My Lady, your grandsons are here."~ Haldir of Lothló rien said to his Lady. Arwen was there as well.

"Send them in." Galadriel said.

"Right away, Arwenamin." Haldir bowed from the room and the twins walked in. [My Lady]

"Mae govannen, Grandmother… Arwen."

"Hello, my grandsons."

"Can you help us?"

"Alas, I cannot." Galadriel looked grave.

"Why not?"

"For you are too late."

"You mean Estel and Legolas are--" Arwen started.

"They are not dead-- yet."

"Then why can't we help them?" Elrohir asked.

"Their fates lie in their own hands and choices now. No one can help them."

"What can we do?" Elladan asked.

"Wait-- and hope-- for them to return."

"We should have kept following them, shouldn't we?"

Galadriel nodded.

"Fifteen more minutes and you would have met up with Estel."

Elladan swore and Elrohir covered his face in his hands and sat next to his grandmother. She said nothing, only let them vent their anger.

"You two tried. Legolas is strong. He will protect Estel."

"Not if he's dead!" Elladan said and Arwen began to cry. Elrohir hugged her and they rocked back and forth.

"We shall see." Galadriel answered.

About thirty orcs lay dead on the ground. Legolas fought on . More orcs came to the grounds to help those already there. Estel could see Legolas was draining of strength. His movements were becoming slower and slower, yet he still sported no wounds. His skill and elvish pride would not let him give up.

Estel watched Legolas fight an orc. But what the elf didn't see was another orc coming up behind him. Estel's eyes widened.

"Legolas!" He yelled, "Get down!" Legolas turned to see the orc bring a sword down on him. He ducked and jabbed the orc which died, but not before the beast sliced Legolas's left arm.

Legolas paid no attention to his wound, but kept on fighting. The problem was that the last orc messed up the routine in which Legolas was fighting and before he had time to regain the strategy, another orc bared down on him. The orc bashed the hilt of his sword into Legolas's head with a loud ringing sound. Legolas's eyes went blank from all emotion and he crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

"Legolas!" Estel yelled, but the orcs restraining him tied his hands around an orc. Five orcs ran to Legolas tied his hands together, then threw him over the shoulder of an orc carelessly.

"Legolas!" Estel yelled again. He would have called for the elf more, but a cloth was put in him mouth to quiet him and another cloth was tied roughly over his eyes, blanking everything out. Estel's world became nothing but tears.

Galadriel closed her eyes.

"What is it, Grandmother?" Arwen said.

"Legolas has failed." She said.

"Is he--?"

"No, not yet. But he could die if he is not strong."

"And of Estel?" Elladan asked.

"He must find his own strength now, for Legolas will fight for their lives, but he will soon be little of strength. We must hope for them to come back to us alive."

Estel ma' Estel ar' Legolas. [Hope for Estel and Legolas]

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

So, what did you think? Kinda sad, huh? I'm sorry about what happened to Leggy and Estel. I would also like to remind you that this is an angst story… you have been warned… again. I'm having a great time writing this story, and I hope you all are enjoying it.

I would like to thank everyone who told me who Thranduil's father was. I will also personally thank you, but I'm glad that you guys are there to help! Which of Tolkien's books has the most info on Mirkwood and it's history? I own The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings (all three) and The Silmarillion. Review time! (I am going to put them on in the order of who reviewed last, up to the people who reviewed first. It's easier for me to read it that way.) Love you guys! Ta-ta!

mistopurr- Wow! I got a lot of reviews from you! That's awesome! Thanks for the compliment for the name 'Shy.' I always liked that name and in the movie Haven that is gonna come out in a while (it has Orlando Bloom in it), he plays a British Native called Shy. It's an awesome name! When I move out of my parent's house, I want to get two dogs that are Husky/Wolf mix. I want a boy and a girl and they will be littermates. I will name the boy 'Prince' and the girl 'Shy.' I LOVE THAT NAME! For the Arwen's son being a younger Estel, yeah, the one in the movie. He is so adorable! How'd you guess it was the twins in the bushes? You're good! When you left your e-mail, does that mean you want me to e-mail you? I can, if you want me to. I just didn't know whether you would want me to. Let me know. Bye! I can't wait for the next chapter of your story! Wow! Long response!

Trinityelf- *Dances around* I got a B! I got a B! I got a B! You know, for Spanish! *Starts to sing* I got a B! I got a B! Sure, it's not an A, but IT'S NOT A C, EITHER! Pirates of Penzance! Is that how you spell it? I'm probably wrong. Oh, well! I got a B! I got a B! That band thing that I had to go to tonight… well, it was embarrassing! I felt like crying the whole time we were playing POTC! It was SOOOOOOO BAD! I hate the people! No one played their solos, so there was this very looooong and embarrassing pause! You know what? I should get permission from Mr. Feely to just butt in the song and play the solos, if the people completely miss them. Then, we wouldn't sound so stupid! But, as soon as I got in the car, I burst into tears! I was so mad at Mr. Feely for putting us through that humiliation! He knew perfectly well we weren't ready to play that song in front of a crowd. That's one moment I'm glad my Dad didn't have the camera… *sighs in relief* But on top of that, I was lonely. That's the first time, since 6th grade, that I haven't played at a concert with you! It truly was, really lonely. Anyways, it's over and I don't ever have to relive it, 'cause Dad didn't get it on tape! Lasta Lalaithamin! HA! Bye! See you on Sunday! I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIDALGO!!!!!!!!

P.S. I GOT A B!

Sammy- I'm really touched that you like my story so much! Did you like this chappie? I thought it was pretty good, but VERY sad! But I do, actually, like those angsty stories. I know it's kinda mean, but I do! How about you?

Sarah- Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy this story!

BabeyRachey- Here you go! I updated for you! LOL! I hope you liked this chapter! I know I say that to everyone, but I really do care about what you guys think! Talk to you next chappie!

XxgemxX- That's fine that you didn't review last time. I understand how it goes. This chapter sort of ended as a cliffie, didn't it? *shrugs and starts to eat popcorn* Oh well…

Leggylover03- This isn't so much as Estel angst as you probably wanted, but there will be some in the later chapters. Just be patient. It'll come sooner or later. I'll even write myself a note. Thanks for letting me know who Thranduil's father was! I've said it up the page a little ways, but which book has the most info on Mirkwood? Do you know?

Deana- Here's the next chappie for you! I hope you liked it! Thanks for letting me know who Thranduil's father was! I really appreciate the time you guys spend to help me out with this! Don't worry, I'll post again real soon! If I don't post in over a week, I'll have a good explination. I hate not posting soon!

Thank you all SO MUCH for reviewing! I'm almost to 30 reviews! I can't believe it! It's so awesome! Once again, thank you all for telling me who Thranduil's father was! I'll post again real soon, 'cause I don't think I have anything important going on this week! (FINALS ARE FINALLY OVER!) But don't worry; No matter what I'm doing, I'll always find time to post real soon!

Not that you guys really need to know, this, but I just feel like shouting it out. I got a summer job! Yup, I will be shelving books three days a week for four hours each day over the summer! And I got an A on my Spanish final, meaning I have a B in total! That's a big deal for me, 'cause I'm terrible at Spanish! I hate conjugating everything! Why does elvish have to be a dead language? I know more about that language than I do for Spanish!

Once again, don't forget to review! Let's see if I can make it to 35 reviews!

Bye!
