Title: Inseparable

Author: Legolas-gurl88

Disclaimer: Since when have any of us LOTR freaks owned anything? I know I don't and I believe the only one who does is Tolkien. *sobs*

Important Author Note: Still workin' on the spacing in the names with the special characters. It's working for Théoden and Märon, but not for ones like Rä londï r and Tí rina. (You'll see who those are later). I'm still working on it. Bear with me!

Stupid Author Note: REVIEW!

Apology: I'm really sorry for the lengthy update. I had a lot going on over the weekend and I didn't have time to update. But here's the next chappie! I would also like to let you know, we have started our third (and last) trimester at school… the problem is… I have two Science classes, and English class and a World Studies class… I'm bound to get lots of homework and I made a commitment to that first, before fanfiction.net. BUT I SWEAR, IN FUTURE CHAPTERS, I WILL NOT TAKE LONGER THAN A WEEK TO POST A CHAPTER! If I go past that limit, I will have an excuse ready… and it will be the truth. Just a forewarning… BUT I WILL NEVER DITCH MY STORY! I love it too much!

Story time!

Chapter 7: Promise Me

All day, Estel was tied to the orc, being bumped around. His arms were sore and the muscles were stretched as well. Every once in a while, he head a scuffle, a shout in Legolas's voice, an elvish curse, growling, a ringing sound, a stumble, then silence once more.

At night, Estel was slammed to a tree and tied to it. On the other side of the tree was an unconscious Legolas. Estel looked down at his feet. He wished the elf would wake up. He wanted someone to talk to. Yet he was still a little angry at Legolas for yelling at him. He felt the ropes tighten as Legolas woke up and pulled at them, trying to escape.

"Hey, Maggot Prince!" An orc yelled from their campfire, "Stay still and shut up!"

"Lilie n'vanima ar' dolle naa lost!" Legolas yelled. [You're ugly and your head is empty]

The orc rolled his eyes and turned his back to them.

"Estel," Legolas whispered. Estel pretended to be asleep. "Estel, I know you're awake. For what it's worth, I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything that I said. I'm sorry I yelled."

Estel said nothing.

"Don't worry, Estel, you don't have to say anything. You have every right to be mad at me."

Silence.

"I promise, Estel, I'll get you out of here." Legolas said nothing more and Estel leaned his head down and started to cry.

"Maggot! Shut up!" And orc yelled and Estel stopped.

Long afterward, when Legolas knew all the orcs were sleeping, he pulled at the rope, trying to loosen it. He heard Estel gasp for air due to the ropes being pulled so tightly and stopped. Legolas knew the boy was too angry at him to tell him to stop on his own.

If only I had my knives! He thought. His bow was now useless, unless he were to strangle orcs with the string, but it would take too long to do so for every thick-necked orc. They had been searched for any weapons. The orcs had found the sword hidden under Estel's cloak. Obviously, they had taken Legolas's weapons.

The elf rested his head on the tree and looked over to the orc that had his and Estel's weapons. His stomach churned in anger at the thought of those slimy hands on his prized Imladris Bow. He closed his eyes and the voice of Elrohir came into his head from almost two weeks ago, "Yeah, don't forget your dagger, Legolas." He had joked.

The orcs hadn't checked his boots! Even if it was the most obvious place to hide a weapon, the orcs were too stupid to check.

Legolas twisted himself in an uncomfortable position to reach his foot. He kicked his boot off and the dagger fell out of it. With his foot, he picked it up and dragged it over to his hand and grabbed it by the blade. He tossed it around so now he was holding onto the hilt. Then, he sliced the ropes.

Estel felt the ropes loosen and knew Legolas had gotten it undone somehow. He saw a shadow come around the tree. Legolas appeared, one of his boots off and held out his hand for Estel. He grabbed the elf's hand and was heaved onto his feet.

In the light of the embers of the campfire, Estel could see lots of bruises on Legolas's head from all the times he had been hit by the hilt of the orc sword.

"Estel, hide behind the trees. If something happens, run."

"What are you going to do?" Estel asked.

"Try and get our weapons back."

"Oh." Estel said, remembering he was still mad at Legolas.

"Estel, if something happens, return this to Arwen." The elf held out his hand, clasping something and dropped it into Estel's hand. Estel looked at it. It was a short chain with a single charm on it. Estel looked closer and saw the charm was a dove, it's wings extended in flight.

"It symbolizes friendship." Legolas explained. "Tell Arwen that I have held it close to me for all these years. Tell her I love her and will always be her friend, no matter what."

Estel nodded, putting the bracelet in his pocket.

"You know, Legolas," Estel said, unable to help himself, "You're only getting the weapons."

"Hide behind the tree, Estel." Legolas said and he crept to the orc holding their weapons.

Estel watched as Legolas walked to the orc, slit its throat with his dagger and take up his bow, arrows and sword. Estel moved his eyes to look around the camp. He saw one orc's eyes were open!

'Legolas,' He mouthed, hoping Legolas would see him. He didn't. As the elf stepped by the orc that was awake, Estel shouted, "Legolas!"

The orc jumped up as did all the other orcs, drawing their weapons.

The orc punched an unsuspecting Legolas in the head and the elf flew through the air and crashed on the ground where orcs dived on him and tied his hands before he could get a movement in.

Estel's eyes widened.

"Kela, Estel! Rima! Rima ten'ta! Asca!" Legolas yelled before he was knocked senseless by another sword hilt. [Go away, Estel! Run! Run for it! Hurry!]

Estel ran, as far and as fast as he could, away from the campsite and Legolas. He wanted to help the prince, but he was afraid of defying the orders of his friend again.

He wanted to stop and help Legolas so bad, but his legs carried him far away. He wanted to halt and rest, but his legs carried him far away. They started to pain him, because he hadn't used the muscles in his legs that hard before. The only thing that he was thinking of was Legolas telling him to run and not stop. He ran for what seemed hours, but was only twenty minutes (but you have to give him credit for running that far that fast that long).

After running far from the spot where Legolas was, Estel collapsed on a rock. His breath was shallow and he had a stitch in his side. Without another thought, he fell asleep, oblivious to the world around him.

What's gonna happen to Leggy? What's gonna happen to Estel? I don't know! Actually, I do, but I don't want to spoil it for you! Sorry for the short chappie! Don't worry, I'll post real soon! Couldn't you just automatically know something was going to happen to Legolas? Poor him! But, he truly is my favorite character, so I'm not doing this because I hate him! Okay, I'd better go before you all start a riot! Review time! (Once again, the reviews will be in the order of the review I received last, to the one I received first so I can try not to forget anybody! And that way, I'm not calling favorites! I truly love all you guys and I don't want you to feel left out. If I forget to respond, I don't hate you, I just missed you or something. That's how it will be for the remainder of the story or until further notice!)

Mistopurr- You call your cat Gingerleaf? That's so cute! Kinda like Greenleaf! You live in the U.K., right? That is soooo cool if you do! I've always wanted to go to London, but I never got the chance. We were gonna go this summer, but we decided to visit my family on the other side of the U.S. instead, 'cause we only see them every two years. But when I get out of college (which will be a while because I haven't even gotten out of my freshmen year at High School yet) I want to go to Guildhall School for Music and Drama, which is the same one Orlando Bloom went to. I want to brush up my acting skills and try my luck on screen, if I can manage to get a part in a movie or something. If that doesn't work out, I want to be a child therapist. Okay, I'll e-mail you. Under the title of the e-mail, I'll put 'From Legolas-gurl88' so you know who it is. Even if people wanted Legolas and Estel to not get hurt or them to get really hurt, I couldn't help it if I wanted to, because up to chapter 15 is already written and I can't go back and change it without changing the whole thing… which makes it kinda fun so I can say I know stuff that other's don't. Heh, heh… Oh well…

The evil witch queen- I AM SO SORRY FOR FORGETTING YOU! I swear, I did NOT intentionally forget to reply. I was in such a hurry to post that I skimmed through the reviews, and I must have read over yours! I'm really sorry! PLEASE FORGIVE ME! But about the story, yeah, it was pretty hard, 'cause I wanted certain things to happen, so I had to time the departure and arrival of different people to get it right where I wanted it! Next time, I PROMISE, I'll remember to reply to your review!

XxgemxX- Sorry about being confusing! Yeah, I have a really bad habit of getting so into the story, I hear the conversations in my head and I just put them down on paper as I hear them, forgetting that just because I know who's talking, doesn't mean everyone else will. If you go to www.hobbitslive.com, click on 'Learn Elvish' and there's sayings and dictionaries and everything! That's the cool thing about it! They also have LOADS of pics that I printed out of Legolas! It is soooo cool!

Trinityelf- I GOT A B! Aw, who cares about that? I saw Hidalgo and THE PREVIEW FOR TROY! Nah, Hidalgo was really great, but I can't wait for Troy to come out! That is going to be all time cool! What'd you think of Viggo's performance (Besides him being really cool!)? I thought he did a really good job!

Leggylover03- I sent you an e-mail, telling you why I didn't respond as soon as I normally would. I got the Arda encyclopedia and it was SO helpful! I learned tons! Thank you VERY much for sending it to me! I hope you liked this chapter!

Sammy- Sorry for the sad chapter, but when I write angst, I write angst. I mean, it's not as angsty as other stories, but from my point of view… well, let's just say I cried when I wrote some of the later chapters! WAAAA! Thank you for reviewing!

Deana- Spanish just didn't click for me, even if I did understand, Hola, mi amiga! That stuff is easy, but next year, I have to do Spanish III, or whatever it is. You were one of the lucky ones who was blessed with the gift of language, then. Me? I'm better at English! It's one of my favorite subjects. I never did get around to doing Drama, even if I really wanted to, though… L (If that didn't turn out, it's supposed to be a sad smiley, even if it is doing weird stuff on my computer). I hope you liked this chappie!

BabeyRachey- It was really hard for me to write the Legolas getting angry part, because you hardly ever see him angry, so you don't know how he would react under that type of pressure… *shrugs* Oh well… *cackles evilly*

Thank you all so much for reviewing! You guys helped me beat the record of 35 reviews total for 6 chapters… let's see… thinking of new number… let's see if you guys can help me make it to 43 reviews by the next time I post! That sounds fair! Hopefully, it will be VERY soon, but I can't make any promises, what with my new classes and all. But I will NEVER ditch you guys! You can be sure of that!

Sorry for shortness of chapter… again! I'm really bugging myself with these short chapters, but I swear, once again, they look longer on my computer!

Thank you all for giving me advice on where I should go to find more info on Mirkwood! Thanks, you guys! You are a GINORMOUS help! (If that's even a word… *shrugs* Oh well…) (Yes, I like to say 'Oh well…' *blink* *stare* *blink* *shrugs* Oh well…)

THE GOAL HAS BEEN SET… LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN HELP ME MAKE IT TO 43 REVIEWS BEFORE I POST AGAIN!
