Chapter 9: To Action
Estel woke up from his sleep. He sat up and stared around. No one was there. He got out of bed and found that someone had changed him into silk nightclothes. His old clothes were missing and there was a silk robe hanging on a hook and beneath it, some slippers.
He put the robe and slippers on and just made it to the door when Arwen walked in. Her eyes were red. She had been in grief for Legolas.
"Mae govannen, Estel." She said before walking over to his bed and sitting down on it. Estel followed her and sat down next to her. Estel peered at her wrist to see that she was wearing the chain that she had given Legolas long ago.
"I miss him, Arwen." Estel said. Arwen looked at him with tears in her eyes. She bent down and the pair hugged each other.
"I miss him, too." Arwen said as her head perched on Estel's small shoulder. The two hugged each other, rocking back and fourth slightly, as they cried.
When they parted, Arwen looked at the child. She sighed.
"Would I be hurting you, Estel, if I were to pass into the Halls of Mandos right now?" she asked seriously.
"What?"
"I-- I can't live without Legolas. He was my first and best mellon." [friend]
"Oh, please, Arwen, don't throw your life away!"
"But if Legolas dies, I couldn't bear being away from him."
"He's not dead yet." Estel said firmly.
"How do you know?" Arwen sobbed.
"I just can, okay. He and I share a type of bond or something."
Arwen smiled.
"You two always were inseparable."
"He's not dead, Arwen, so don't give up your life. He could come back."
"But--"
"Don't doubt Legolas. He is strong. He will return."
Arwen smiled again.
"Thank you, Estel. I-- I think I'll go have breakfast." She left the room.
Estel thought about what he had said. He had just told Arwen not to dought Legolas's strength when the boy himself held the most doubt of everyone.
"Legolas," he whispered, "Hold on. I'll save you… no matter what."

Legolas was kicked awake by the orc that had taken over after Gnarg.
"Wake up, Maggot Prince. It's a beautiful day… it might just be your last, so enjoy it."
He was untied and un-blindfolded so he could walk around the camp a little. What the orcs didn't know was Legolas was trying to find out where he was. He didn't want to think too much, because the cut he had received the night before on his temple throbbed.
He rolled on the balls of his feet to feel the texture of the ground. It was slightly hard and rocky. The grass was becoming scarce and there was a lot of mud along with the rocks.
The few trees that were there, were dead. Legolas was in Emyn Muil. Why would the orcs take him there?
"Time's up, Maggot." The orc said and Legolas was blindfolded and tied at the wrists again. He thrashed around in hopes that he could get free, but an orc punched his jaw and he stopped in surprise.
"We'll be there in a minute, Princy." The head orc said.
Within half-a-day, Legolas could sense he was in a cave. His heart got heavier with dread. He hated caves. He was slammed into a rocky wall and chained there. Then, his blindfold was removed.
He stared around at the orcs who were bowing. Legolas strained his eyes. Someone was walking towards him from the shadows, their footsteps echoing, a scent of death around them.

Estel dressed back into his elvish cloak and war gear. He pulled his boots on and slipped a dagger in one, mimicking Legolas. He tied a sword around his waist and pulled a quiver on. Even if he couldn't use a bow and arrow due to lack of skill, he still felt safer with them.
Once he was dressed, he left his bedroom and walked silently down the stairs, hoping to sneak away.
He peered into a room and saw his grandmother, Arwen and Elladan all reading their own books silently.
He tiptoed past the room and walked to the door leading outside. As soon as his hand touched the doorknob, he heard three voices say in a bored draw, "Don't you dare leave, Estel."
He closed his eyes in defeat and annoyance, then walked to the room with his family in it. They were all looking at him.
"Why can't I go?" he asked.
"You are not well rested." Galadriel said.
"But I must save Legolas!"
"Elrohir is looking for him." Elladan said.
"Then I must help him."
"Estel, Legolas gave himself up for you. Do not be rash and run away." Elladan responded.
"Well at least I want to save Legolas!" Estel yelled.
"Elrohir is--"
"No! Legolas needs me! I don't care what any of you say, I'm saving him!"
"Estel, what can you do? You are a human child!" Elladan said, standing up in anger and dropping his book.
"Well at least I'm not sitting on my lazy backside like three elves I know of, when Legolas is dying!"
With that, he stormed out of the room and ran to the stables to acquire a horse.
He chose Elrohir's favorite, a stallion, Rä londï r. Rä londï r always seemed able to find Elrohir anywhere.
"Rä londï r, find Elrohir."
The horse neighed and galloped at full speed in the direction of Emyn Muil.

I'm gonna post again in a couple of days (2-3) but no longer! I'm gonna post one more chapter before I go on vacation, because they don't have good reception where I'm going, and I can't get online. I don't know how I'm gonna live, but I'll survive! Anyways, one more chapter before the end of the week, and then you won't get one for about 4-5 days. That's okay, 'cause that's basically how long it takes me to update anyway. Review time!

Mistopurr- Poor Legolas! I'm glad you finished your story and can't wait for the next part! I loved the flashback myself! I was smiling the whole time I was writing it! I can just imagine a tiny Legolas trying to save a tiny Arwen from bath time!
Sammy- Happy b-day (when it comes). I can't wait to see Troy as well! My mom actually agreed to take me to see it! At first, I didn't want to, but the more I saw trailers for it, the more I wanted to see it! Talk to you later!
XxgemxX- Here's the next chappie! I loved the flashback! I enjoyed writing it! It kinda opened a new writing style for me and I will now think about writing an elfling story! Doesn't that sound cute! Although I have no idea what it would be about. I'll think of something! Talk to you later! Bye!
