The Tale of Two Twins

Legend tells of two twin brothers. Opposite in paths but same in blood. Both descendants of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda. One called Virgil and the other called Dante. Both are half-human half-demon. Dante is more of a human and is following his father's tradition of protecting the human world from demons. While Virgil has always been jealous and power hungry. He wanted to be stronger than his father Sparda and his brother Dante. All he cared about was being strong. He thought the weak would always peril and only the strong would survive.

Virgil never liked to be beaten by his brother and thought humans were ridiculous. He hated the thought that there was someone in the world stronger than him. Mundus, the evil ruler of the Underworld, knew how Virgil felt. So the night that he sent his minions to attack Virgil and Dante's home, their mother was killed and Virgil was taken away. Dante was left alone and he swore revenge against demons. Meanwhile, Virgil was taken to the Underworld. Mundus, who was trapped in a statue because of Sparda, offered Virgil unimaginable power. Virgil accepted and Mundus ordered Virgil to be pumped with demonic power. But short afterwards, Virgil escaped the Underworld using his new powers.

He united a whole army of demons and defied Mundus. He built a dark, evil tower and found where Dante was. He then challenged Dante to a battle to see if he was stronger than Dante like Mundus had promised. Dante went to the tower in a rainy night. The clash between the two twin sons of Sparda had begun. The battle continued for endless hours. Their swords clashed like mad until Virgil managed to make Dante drop his sword. Defenseless, Dante looked into the eyes of his selfish brother. Virgil raised his sword ready to end with Dante for good. But Dante pulled out a gun and pointed it at Virgil. Surprised, Virgil picked up Dante's sword from the wet floor. They stared at each other atop the rainy tower. Water dripped from Virgil's forehead as he pretended to be handing Dante his sword.

But the moment Dante stretched his arm out to grab his sword and continue the swordfight; Virgil stabbed Dante with his own sword. Dante screamed in pain and agony. He dropped the gun that was on the gun as he laid on the wet rooftop of the ominous gloomy tower with his sword sticking out of his chest. Dante slowly felt death closing up on him. But then he remembered the world around him. He remembered the tower, his brother, his sword, and his demonic heritage. That was it, his demonic heritage! He couldn't die; one simple stab on the chest wasn't enough to kill a half-demon! So when he remembered this, he got up on his feet. He felt a tingle going down his spine. He turned into a beast. He was now in his demon form. The strength of his demon form was so powerful that it caused his sword to pop out of his chest by itself. He had never changed into demon form before. It felt weird the first time around. His demon-self roared and slashed Virgil fiercely. Virgil cried in agony and with a chest covered in blood, escaped by jumping off the high top of the tower. Then the tower began to immaterialize.

The demon Dante screamed as he grew wings. He flew away into the big full moon back to his not-yet-opened office. The clash between the two sons of Sparda has just begun. Soon it would become a one-man war against each other that would last many years.
