After Elizabeth's decision to pursue a relationship with Lucas Bouchard, Nathan decided to leave Hope Valley but left something for Elizabeth that causes her more turmoil than she thought she ever has to face.

Army Lieutenant Lucas Bouchard suddenly becomes a widower and single father of twin boys. Elizabeth Hickam is an Army wife and finds herself a grieving single mother of her and Mike's two sons. Will these two find a way to mend their hearts and rely on each other?
