Disclaimer: I do not own the lord of the rings, but just think about how fluffy the movies would be if I did?
AN: this is my first Eowyn and Faramir fanfiction; I want to try something new. Hope you like it! By the way, Queen Arwen? I know you do not like Eowyn, but maybe this fic will appeal to you. I know you will not admit it but I think you are beginning to warm up to her.
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's all right
With the combined forces of the softness of the mattress and the warmth of the blankets, Eowyn was surprised that she did not sleep through the day. However, even through sleep, her body knew when her husband was not there beside her. Groggily she opened her smoky eyes, adjusting to the bright rays of the sun coming through her open window.
She had not seen the empty side of the bed yet, but she knew he had left early this morning for a meeting with Aragorn. Otherwise there would be soft lips on her own and strong-arms around her waist, pulling her against his chest. That was always how they started their mornings, everyday for the past two weeks of their marriage.
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
Eowyn smiled to herself. Marriage. What a wonderful thing. She had often heard stories of the married life from Arwen. How the king would surprise her with the sweetest of gifts, and the joys of being newly-weds. It had made her heart melt knowing that someday she would be experiencing all that with Faramir.
And she had been doing nothing but experience it for the past two weeks. It had felt like a dream everyday to wake up in the arms of Faramir and to fall asleep to the sound of his voice. She wanted nothing more then to just live, and spend as much time as possible with him.
With a sigh, she slowly pushed herself to sit up and wiped the sleep from her smoky blue eyes. A smile fell upon her face as she looked across her room. On the table beside her bed there was a tray with a hot breakfast on it. The eggs and bacon smelt heavenly and Eowyn wondered how she did not smell it earlier.
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
Eowyn moved herself over to the other side of the bed and picked up the folded piece of parchment that rested on the front of the silver tray. Opening it carefully, she recognized the slanted handwriting of her husband that read.
'As bright as the sunset, as strong as the sea, as big as the earth is my love to thee. I love you Eowyn.'
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
The smile on her face grew bigger as she finished the short note, and her eyes shined with happiness. 'And my love to thee Faramir is even greater than that.' she thought as she bit into the toast.
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right
FIN!
