Outside a storm brewed, lightning flashed and thunder crashed. Two lone figures stood, rain pelting on their sleek black trench coats. Silent screams carried with the wind... and so our story begins...
I looked up at the young man beside me, his features hidden by flowing silver hair. I nodded when he glanced at me, it was time... Pulling a black blade from the rocks, I screamed, thunder shaking the ground beneath me. I watched with weary eyes as my companion pulled his own sword from the scabbard at his waist.
I blocked when he swung the fang like sword at me, snarling as the rain hit my face. He stabbed and blocked expertly, but his fall would come soon.
He hit like no other, pulling the blade down and up so fast all I could see was a white streak in the sky. But finally he stumbled, his blows more wild than before, as I stepped up pushing him back, with my flaming black sword. We both knew the cliff was coming up, and that then we would know... who was best...who won the never ending battle... who would take the prize...and who would die first...
Lightning flashed and the end came, with one last strike we both fell over the edge...
I woke up and winced, my arm hurt horribly, but of course so did the rest of my body. Opening my eyes, all I could see was black. I blinked panic taking over my mind. I couldn't be... not when I had won!
Blinking again, I relaxed realizing I WASN'T blind... It was just the after affects of the fight. Something moved over on my left, its footsteps shuffling quietly, almost to quiet for my demon ears to hear. The key word being almost, I stuck my hand out catching the thing by its ankle. A short scream issued after, I peeked open my violet eyes lazily. A young woman sat glaring at me with silver blue eyes, small cat like ears swiveled at the top of her head. I smirked, she was the prize I had fought so hard for... ... And won...
"Why hello, kagome..." She gasped looking me over, shock evident in her eyes. "...inu yasha...your human..."
