DREAMING OF YOU

by Ayne Greensleeves

I – The man who turned my world upside-down

Roronoa Zoro?

Yes, I know him. He's the man who turned my world upside-down.

I never thought I could fall for a pirate. How could I be so stupid? How could I be so naive? He impressed me with his bravery... or stupidity, whatever you want to call it.

And I fell like an idiot.

And he fooled me, making me believe he was a good person, a honest man, a noble swordsman... just to humiliate me later, once and once again.

He owes me a duel. A real one.

And still, I can't help but dreaming of him.

II – I don't want to think of her

Why am I thinking of her?

I don't want to. I often try not to. But her face appears before me once and once again. She insists on disturbing my sleep. She's so damn persistent even when she's not here!

Damn it, not again. I don't want to think of her right now. It almost feels like betraying Kuina's memory.

I'll pretend I don't see her.

But then I fall asleep, and she comes back and chases me.

The sound of her sword clashing against mine.

Her honest eyes.

Her smile...

And still, I can't help but dreaming of her.

AUTHOR'S NOTES

Ah well, this is not exactly a fanfic, just two very short and very pointless monologues I wrote in school, when I was bored and had a pen in my hand, felt like playing with words... And this is what came out. Being more of a poet than a writer, I'm not good at writing action so I usually do monlogue-type fanfics. And I really wanted to write something about Zoro and Tashigi, my favorite One Piece pairing In case you haven't noticed, the first monologue is Tashigi's and the second is Zoro's. Duh. The idea came to me while wondering if Zoro ever thinks about Tashigi, since they haven't met very often in the series. We know Tashigi does think about Zoro (all the time, probably), but what about him? I like to believe he does, even if against his own will Um, and English is not my first language, so well-meaning corrections are welcome. Thanks!
