Hello...
"Playground school bell rings again,"
The small figure that was the five-year-old Draco sat alone in a distant
corner of the playground, watching the other kids playing and having...
fun.
"Rain clouds come to play again."
Draco looked up. His small grey eyes watery and stone cold surveyed the
rain clouds just above him.
"Has no one told you she's not breathing?"
There was a scream and Draco looked back down. A girl, not much younger
than he, had fallen. He ran over and started when he saw who it was:
Raevyn Black.
"Hello, I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to, hello."
Draco couldn't think of anything else besides the fact that his best friend
was in the hospital and he had nothing, nobody to talk to, nobody to hug,
nobody.
"If I smile and don't believe, soon I know I'll wake from this dream."
Raevyn walked over to Draco and smiled. Draco got up and gave her a hug,
the one friends give before they move somewhere far away.
"Don't try to fix me I'm not broken."
Draco heard a few days later that Raevyn was seeing a therapist. He was
sad, he had no other friends, and the only one he had was barely ever there
anymore.
"Hello, I'm the lie living for you so you can't hide, don't cry."
A few days later, Draco found new 'friends': Vincent and Gregory. Well,
they thought he was their friend. It was then Draco knew the power of his
Malfoy name.
"Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping, hello I'm still here, all that's left of
yesterday."
Raevyn was let out of the hospital again, and she stopped by Draco's house.
Draco opened the door and sneered. Raevyn looked hurt, her eyes started
watering and she ran. Draco closed the door and realized he had just
shunned his best friend, the one that was always there. Now he realized:
he wasn't a very good friend at all...
