One of my first Getbackers fics. If anyone's OOC, I blame it on that, since I usually don't get a good, deep feel for the characters until a few more tries.

You look so beautiful when you sleep. So innocent and naive. You always seem to look like that, but especially when you sleep.
When you're awake, you hurt. You hide it well, but you can't hide anything from me. I know you too well. I know you. . .
I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know how to stop. I don't even realize what I'm about to do until my face is just above yours, my eyes looking at it.
"Ban-chan. . ."
I pause. Just briefly. Will you awaken? Do you dream of me.
"Ban-chan. . . give me back my sushi..."
Of course not. When you sleep is the only time I can... Right now is the only time...
Your lips are soft against mine. I don't close my eyes, I don't want to. I don't want you out of my gaze ... and I'm frightened some-what.
Especially now. Now that your brown eyes are opening. My own open, knowing that unless I do something I've been caught.

"Ban-chan?" Ginji rubs his eyes, and sits up. His fingers run over his lips, which feel sort of funny. "Ban-chan?"
He looks around, to see Ban curled up beside him, deep in sleep, muttering something incoherently and snoring softly.
"Hm... that's funny. I could've sworn I just saw him awake." He shrugs his shoulders, brings the blanket up to Ban's shoulders, then lies back down and goes to sleep.
