Going Under...

"Now I will tell you what I've done for you,"

The sound of Raevyn's quill scratching was the only thing that could be
heard that night in the Slytherin common room.
"Fifty thousand tears I've cried."
Silver tears dropped silently onto her paper as she finished her letter.
She ran down to the owlry and tied it onto her owl's foot and sent it off.

"Screaming, deceiving, and bleeding for you,"

Raevyn took out a small knife from her pocket and slid the blade across her
wrist again and again, screaming in pain.
"And you still won't hear me."
Raevyn ran to the Astronomy tower, the highest in Hogwarts. She climbed
onto the roof and slowly stepped toward the edge, "Goodbye..."

"Going under; don't want your hand this time I'll save myself,"

Raevyn peered over the edge and looked back up at the midnight grey sky.
Raindrops had just started falling.

"Maybe I'll wake up for once."

The realization of what she was doing hit Raevyn like a train. Her eyes
widened and she stepped forward again.

"Not tormented daily, defeated by you."

Raevyn turned around to see him standing there: Draco Malfoy. She turned
back around and stepped toward the edge again.

"Just when I thought I'd reached the bottom."

Raevyn took one last small step towards the edge and Draco leapt forward to
try and stop her.

"I'm dying again, I'm going under."

Draco screamed as he watched Raevyn's lifeless body fall to the ground.
The slits on her wrists were still bleeding and it was then Draco realized:
people aren't always who they seem.

"I'm drowning in you, I'm falling forever, I've got to break through, I'm
going under."
