Author's note: This poem is the one I placed on one of my RK fics--"Heart's Regret". Actually I sliced this one out so you'd only get to see one line of this poem at the start of every chapter. I haven't finished the fic yet but you can see the whole of the poem here. --x
"My Truth"
The world has changed, completely changed
It gets bitter and bitter everyday,
Left only to dream of a tranquil sea
That is all there is for humanity.
Accept it when it's there.
Claim it if it's yours.
Use your freedom to fly away
Yet still end up in the same course.
Savor every moment
Feel free to capture your prey
But in reality, life is not that simple to stir
Patience works with fireflies but to humans you must persevere.
Give up all, you'll have everything
Though it doesn't always work that way.
Hopefully someday, you'd come to realize and see,
You give up everything… you'll have me…
