Ray: Hey Midnight, what you doing?
Midnight: Nothing much, this is my fifth fanfic and I am writing the first chapter.
Kai: I don't even know why people bother reading your material.
Midnight and Ray: That was mean!
Ray: Do you want me to do the disclaimer for you? *Midnight nods* Midnight doesn't own any of the beyblade characters except for Vega, Aryan, Derek, and Rika and their bit beasts. Additional characters will be added later on.
Kai: Ray, you're hitting on her! *Ray blushes as Kai smirks earning a smack from Midnight who was kinda blushing as well*
Midnight: On with the fanfic!

"Tala Nicholas Valkov! Get up this instant!" A shrilly voice broke into his room. Tala tossed and turned in his bed before waking up. His dream was gone. All because of a no good idiot. Tala dragged himself out of bed and lazily walked to the bathroom. He opened the door and walked in, now facing a big mirror. He smirked. Today, they were supposed to get a new student and he knew it was a girl. He was gonna have fun playing with her.
Quickly he took a shower and ate his breakfast before he heard another word from his bastard uncle and hopped on his bike and raced off to his school. He rode it on top speed until after a few moments a red building came. He parked his bike in the parking lot before going to his locker. He took out his Math and History book and closed his locker and went to his homeroom.
"Hey Tala, how's life treatin' ya?" A flame haired boy asked. Tala smirked and shrugged.
"Same old stuff, Johnny," Tala answered and went to his seat. After a bit of chatting, the teacher strolled in.
"Now settle down class, as you all know we have a new student. Will you please come in?" The door slid open and a girl came in. She was wearing black cargo pants and a blue spaghetti top that said '0% Angel and 100% Devil' in bold silver letters. She had black hair with blue streaks in it. She strode in the room, scanning it thoroughly. She had an emotionless expression on her face as well. "Will you tell us a bit about yourself?"
"The name's Rika and I come from England. Anything else?" Rika asked coldly. Johnny raised his hand and Rika nodded.
"Are you single?" Tala smirked. This was going to be interesting. Usually, Johnny would ask all the girls and they would all blush and say no and all that crap. But something told him this was not the usual. Besides he has a good surprise for her.
"Yeah so?" Rika asked coldly again.
"Would you go out with me?" Johnny asked sweetly in a fake voice.
"Sorry but I don't go out with ugly boys like you and by the way the voice you put on was so fake," Rika said annoyed.
"Ooh, Tala, this one's feisty!" Someone broke out from the room chuckling at what he just said. Rika directed a glare towards him and that shut him up for good.
"Can you please take a seat in from of Mr. Tala Valkov?" The teacher asked in a quiet voice. Rika noticed something shining on the chair and saw an empty desk directly behind him. She smirked and went and sat there. "Are you trying to be funny?"
"Depends on what you find funny, Ms. . ."
"Miss Butler!"
"Exactly so if you find this funny then it must be funny," Rika said silently but everyone heard it and broke out into laughs. "And if you take a look at the chair, you will find glue smeared all over it by Valkov and his sidekicks." The class stopped laughing at this and stared at Rika who was smirking. The teacher indeed came and checked and there was glue on the chair. She stared at Rika in awe. "Nice try Valkov, but you see, I happen to know lots of things about you so your plans won't work with me."
"You know nothing about me!" Tala spat at her.
"On the contrary, I know things about you that I can bet no one do. Not even your own mother or the police."
"I dare you to name one," Tala whispered as the whole class was in silence.
"Like who your real father is, where he is right now and how he is right now," Rika said calmly. Rika looked at Tala right in the eye and they just stared at each other until the bell rang which was 10 minutes. Rika sighed and took her books and raced out of the classroom.

By lunch, everyone knew about this and they were talking about it in the cafeteria. Rika silently made her way to the cafeteria while arguing with her bitbeast inside her mind.

~*~ But Dranzee, I didn't have a choice! Besides, what if his father shows up again? ~*~
~*~ But that could've been taken care of when it was the time! You did a bad thing and he'll never stop asking you until you answer him truthfully. I can tell you that. He suffered so much because of his father and he isn't going to let you walk off that easily. He wants revenge from him and he'll get it no matter what! ~*~
~*~ How do you know all this? ~*~
~*~ I was talking to Wolborg earlier, that's why. ~*~
Just then a ditzy blonde and Tala and their little group came up to her interrupting her thoughts.
"What do you want?" Rika asked calmly.
"I wanna know what you know about my father. And I mean it. Now," He said sternly glaring and staring right at her.
"Look, I don't know anything about your father except that he met with an accident a month ago. I haven't talked to him since then and before you ask he was my father's best friend so yes I know him pretty well," Rika said breaking the staring contest. Then they were joined by a blue haired boy. He was pretty cute.
"Hey I heard about you being the new student and all," He started.
"Get to the point!" Rika said dully. For some reason this guy seemed to be different. Loyal, nice, friendly and all that shitload.
"Would you like to join me and my gang? They'd be nice to have you as their friend," He said politely glancing at Tala and his group every now and then. Rika shrugged but agreed. After one last glance at Tala, she followed the blue haired boy to his group. There was a Chinese guy with raven hair, a pink haired girl, a guy with black hair and red strike in the middle, a guy with blonde hair, a brunette and a guy with black hair. "Ok, the pink girl is Mariah, the raven haired boy is Ray, the brunette is Tanisha, the black haired guy with the red streak in the middle is Ozuma, the blonde is Max, the last one is Riley. And I am Kane, nice to meet you."
"I am Rika and it's a pleasure to meet you all," Rika said trying her best to be polite. They smiled and nodded, the first time other people ever did something to her except for her own friends which she left back in England.
"Were Tala and his gang annoying you again?" Mariah spoke after taking a sip from her coke.
"No, why do you ask?"
"Just stay away from him; he's bad news to all the girls. He's like this major player and so is his little groupie," Riley said quietly in a low voice.
"Hey it's not like he's gonna have a chance with me because I could beat the shit outta him without having a scratch on myself," Rika said as the others stared at her except for Riley who was still sipping on his drink.
"Don't be too sure about it, he's the best fighter in the school and he got his so called trusted friend Kai, to back him up and let me tell you, he isn't that nice when it comes to fighting," Ray commented.
"Don't worry about me, you guys, my brother and I used to train with each other all the time and that included fighting, fencing, street fighting, street blading." But she was interrupted by Max.
"You blade?"
"Um. . .yeah, I do something wrong? Come to think about it, is there a dish in this school or what?" Rika asked again trying to be polite.
"Um, yeah there is one in the gym but you can't use it because Tala and Kai are practicing right now," Kane informed. Rika rolled her eyes and stood up.
"Well too bad because I wanna blade right now," Riak said sternly and walked away fully aware of the others following her. They came to the gym and saw both of them practicing. "Mind if I join the party?" All the eyes fell on her. There were many people in the gym watching the duo practice and making comments on how powerful their blades were.
"And what makes you think we're going to let you?" Kai sneered. Rika once again rolled her eyes.
"Please, who are you kidding? You both are pathetic! Dranzer's endurance level is down by 2 levels, his attack and defense is down by 1 level and same with Wolborg too," Rika said annoying. "And just to teach you a lesson or two about blading, I challenge you to a match right here, right now." Tala, Kai, and the whole gym roared with laughter. "What? Don't tell me the all so good bladers are afraid of a tiny match!" Rika mocked. The laughing stopped immediately. They stared at her but all she did was smirk. She went to the nearest dish and took her beyblade out. It was a black medium sized beyblade.
"3. . .2. . .1. . .LET IT RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!" A voice started for them as both Tala and Rika launched their blades.
"Wolborg, finish this rookie off now!" Tala exclaimed as his blade took speed and clashed into Rika's sending sparks everywhere. But it didn't seem to work. Her beyblade stayed in the dish like nothing happened. "Wolborg, Full Moon Attack!" A majestic grey wolf rose from the beyblade and a full moon appeared by its side. The moon gave Wolborg an extra boost and increased its speed and everything.
"Black Dranzer, Dark Fire Arrow Attack!" Rika exclaimed. A dark reddish coloured phoenix rose from her blade spreading its majestic wings. It opened its mouth and a dark coloured fire arrow came out of it and aimed it on Wolborg's chest. Once it hit it, Wolborg vanished back to it's blade and Tala's blade stopped spinning, leaving Rika as the victor.
"I think I won, Tala Valkov. Wolborg made a good choice by choosing you as his master," Rika said simply before starting to walk out of the huge gym leaving the whole school still staring. But a voice stopped her.
"Sarika Erich Seghal, you owe me a huge explanation!" A boy's angry voice exclaimed from behind her. She turned around and saw a boy with dirty blonde hair, wearing black cargo pants and a blue tee. He was glaring at her.
"No, I don't, infact you shouldn't even be here right now Vega Kevin Walters," Rika hissed in a dangerously low voice.
"Do you realize how freaked out we got when we didn't find you?" Vega glowered ignoring her comment.
"You shouldn't be, I told you guys, I was gonna leave the team anyways or rather YOU told me I had to leave the team after the mini tournament so I did. Now you have a problem?" Rika said crossing her arms in front of her chest glaring at the teen in front of her.
"You should've realized that we were joking," Vega said.
"What the fuck don't you get, Walters? I don't like being used because I have power that somebody else doesn't!" Rika said and turned to walk around.
"But we want you back and Aryan will do anything for it and I mean it, Rika," Vega tried and reasoned.
"I told you my answer, Vega. I don't want to. I do better alone. Consider the Devils lucky, Vega. If I had found this out before and if Aryan wasn't my older brother, then you all would have been kicked out of VioBBA like piece of shitload. Just don't expect me to be your friend again and tell Aryan to forget he ever even had a baby sister," Again Rika was about to turn around and leave but another voice stopped her.
"Rika, don't even think about going outta here before I know why the fuck you left all of a sudden without telling ME!" An angry voice boomed. Rika turned around and smiled sheepishly.
"I'm sowwie," Rika said in a really cute way and pouted giving the boy watery eyes with the bottom lip quivering and puppy eyes.
"No, I still need the explanation!" The visitor exclaimed.
"Can't we discuss this instead?" Suddenly she realized something. "Yo, Kane what date is it today?"
"I think it's March 31st. Why?" Kane said. The new boy and Rika didn't reply. They looked like they were in a deep thought.
"Something was gonna happen today. March 31st, March 31st, March 31st, March 31st," Rika kept on mumbling and then something clicked in her mind. "March 31st! Today is grandfather's surgery!"
"Shit, you're right! If we go now, we can still make it," The boy said wide- eyed. They started to walk away and both remembered something at the same time.
"You stay with Tanisha!" Both said in unison. "Alright I'll go and you make sure that grandfather gets fine, k?" The boy asked. Rika nodded and both left the gym running all the way to the parking lot.
