Maggie- Yippee next chapter I'm sure you're happy at the moment I am writing the chapter and at the end of the chapter you'll find out if Nicky helped me or not even thought in the last chapter she did the betaing cause anyone who has read my stories should know my punctuation is the worst, oh and by the way please check out our stories if you want to read them the links are on our bio oh and I'm also going to be the one answering the reviews but Nicky might add a little later.
OsuwariTetsusaiqa- Cool name even though it's a little hard to pronounce I'm sure I like weird names thanks for the review you were the first reviewer and yeah it humoured me on James's part as well as I was writing it I had this picture of Mrs Weasley.
Farahqueen- Again cool name, ah I think I'm hyper lol ah well I'm always hyper so not much difference, yeah I guess the story is sweet but I don't think we will be seeing any more of the parents for a while and there will be loads of cool adventures (I hope) otherwise the story would be boring wouldn't it there will be pranks just the Marauders will have to meet each other first.
Ssh- I hope my sister will help me in this chapter as well I swear it seems like I'm writing the story on my own I might as well transfer it to my account and write it all myself.
Chapter 2 The Hogwarts express
Remus found an empty compartment and sighed in relief he wasn't quite ready to meet people yet. He was too nervous. He wasn't quite sure how Dumbledore was planning on coping with his condition and he didn't want people to know about it. He sat down and pulled out a book and began reading. About ten minutes later a boy appeared at the door a boy with messy black hair, hazel eyes and glasses. "Hey." Said the boy "Everywhere else is full can I sit here with you?" He asked motioning to the seat opposite Remus. Remus nodded happy to have company.
The boy sat down "I'm James Potter, by the way." He said.
"Remus Lupin." Remus responded.
"You a first year?" Asked James.
"Yeah." Said Remus.
"Same here so what are you half blood pure blood?" Asked James.
"I'm half blood." Said Remus "Why you don't have a problem with that do you?" He asked knowing some of the people in the wizarding world hated people if they weren't pure bloods.
"Nah." Said James "I like everyone for who they are. I don't judge them on something that they cant change I get to know them."
After this sentence Remus wondered if James would feel the same way if he knew his secret "So what house do you think you will get into?" Asked James trying to keep the conversation going.
"I'm not sure." Said Remus setting down his book having given up any hope of reading it whilst James was there.
"I'll be in Gryffindor." Said James "I mean my whole family have been in Gryffindor since the day of Godric Gryffindor himself." Said James he then realised his mistake. People weren't meant to know about the Potters ancestry and Remus seemed smart enough to work it out.
"Are you descended from Godric Gryffindor?" Asked Remus curious.
"Yeah." Said James gloomily "Me, my mum, dad and little sister are the last of his descendants alive most of them have been killed by Slytherins descendants that's the way it's gone for centuries."
"Oh." Said Remus slightly surprised.
"So you gotta promise me you won't tell anyone." Said James, the anxiety showing on his face.
Remus knew what it was like to have a big secret like that and totally understood how James felt "Of course." Said Remus "I know how you feel." He said.
James looked at him "What do you have a long line of dark wizards trying to kill you?" He asked.
"No." Said Remus.
"Then what's your secret?" Asked James intrigued.
Remus was wondering what to say when he was saved the trouble by another boy with black hair and grey eyes walked into the compartment and sat down on the seat next to James "Hi I'm Sirius Black who are you two?" He asked.
Both James and Remus were too shocked about the boy just walked in and sitting down to do anything well at least it saves me from having to explain things to James thought Remus.
"I'm James Potter," Said James "And this is Remus Lupin."
Sirius smiled "Good too meet you." He said, "Are you first years.
"Yeah." Said James.
"Cool all the other compartments I've been into have had older students and no first years I've just been walking around like a complete idiot with no friends." Said Sirius still smiling.
"I doubt this was the only compartment on the whole train that had first years in it Sirius," Said Remus raising one eyebrow.
Sirius's smile faltered a little "Ok it wasn't the only compartment but you two looked like the kind of guys I would hang about with usually the rest of the first years no offence to them seemed a bit dull."
James laughed while Remus asked, "What do you mean we seemed like the sort of guys you would usually hang about with?"
"Well you two seem like pranksters." Said Sirius his smile back in place even wider than before.
James nodded his head vigorously to show that he was whilst Remus was a little sceptic he had never thought of himself as a complete goody boy but he had never thought of himself as a prankster though he did like to play jokes on people, "Yeah guess I'm a prankster as well though probably not as much as you too seem to be." He said.
"Good." Said Sirius "Us three are going to get along just fine."
Remus smiled happy to have made friends already he was about to say something when a small boy with mousy blonde hair and watery blue eyes came running into the compartment looking terrified he looked round at the three of them and made to run out again before Sirius caught him on the shoulder "Are you ok?" He asked the terrified boy.
All the boy could do was stutter so Sirius led him to a seat next minute a boy came in he had greasy black hair and empty black eyes "Snape." Said Sirius "Standing up with a smirk on his face "What are you doing in our compartment?" He said motioning to the compartment and the people sitting within it.
Snape made a disgusted noise when he recognised Sirius they obviously knew each other "Trust me Black I take no pleasure in being anywhere near you, or... your friends," He said peering round the compartment.
James stood up all of a sudden "Was that an insult?" He asked "Cause if it was I have to say it wasn't a very good one."
Snape looked slightly taken back for a moment then replied "And you would be?" He asked.
"James Potter, at your service," Said James putting on a mock bow making everyone in the compartment apart from Snape laugh.
"Potter... Potter," He said as though trying to work out where he had heard the name before.
"You might know my name cause my father, you know he's only the minister of magic." Said James with the air of one commenting on the weather.
Snapes jaw dropped open as did the stuttering boys and Remus's Sirius on the other hand didn't look surprised at all he looked pleased with James's answer.
James waited until the news had hit Snape "Was that all you wanted to say Snape cause you see we don't appreciate having scum in our compartment."
Snape looked at him with disgust "I'll get you for that Potter."
James put on a mock-confused face "For what Snape? You see last I checked I didn't do anything wrong." Said James smirking Sirius had an identical smirk on his face while even Remus couldn't hold back a smile.
Snape looked at the four of them before saying, "I will get you Potter I don't care when and I don't care how but I will get you."
"Good," Said James smiling "I'll look forward to it."
Snape smirked "You'll regret that Potter." Then he swept out of the compartment his black Hogwarts robes billowing behind him.
As soon as he left James and Sirius turned and high fived each other "Nice one." Said Sirius smiling.
"Thank you," Said James, "Do you know him?" He asked.
Sirius looked disgusted "Yeah unfortunately my parents and his are... acquaintances," He said "But me and him never got on, he's a greasy haired, stupid, pure-blooded freak."
"Yeah," Said James agreeing with him "I think that and I only just met him." The other three burst out laughing at this sentence.
"Thanks," Said the stuttering boy speaking for the first time.
"No problem," Said Sirius "I'm Sirius Black by the way." He said holding out his hand for the boy to shake.
The boy looked at it cautiously and Sirius withdrew his hand "What's your name?" He asked.
"I'm Peter Pettigrew," Said the boy.
Sirius smiled "we don't bite you know, you can trust us." Peter smiled as well.
"I'm James Potter," Said James speaking up "As you might have gathered from our little run in with Snape," Said James smiling at the memory.
Remus who had been quiet throughout the whole conversation jumped a bit upon hearing his name being said by James, he looked at James with a inquisitive look "I was just telling Peter who you were," Said James.
"Oh," Said Remus "Sorry I was thinking."
"Missing home where you?" Asked Sirius.
"Something like that," Said Remus.
"Well I for one am glad to be getting away from my home I mean my parents hate me and I'll get a howler tomorrow if I don't get into Slytherin which I am praying to God that I don't, and my little brother completely ignores me I have a fantastic life really." He said almost jokingly thought the other three knew that he didn't mean it as a joke.
"I've never experienced anything like that," Said James "My parents where always great and I have a little sister who I get on great with, I feel sorry for you mate."
Sirius brushed it off as though it was nothing "Don't worry about it they've been like that since I was 7 when I decided that I didn't believe in that pure-blood rubbish." Though Sirius sounded like it didn't matter to him the other three boys knew that it was hurting him really.
"My dad's dead," Piped up Peter, "Killed by a dark wizard a few years back and my mum turned alcoholic," He said sadly.
"Really," Said Sirius "wow I might hate my parents but I wouldn't want either of them dead."
"Yeah it hit mum pretty badly," Said Peter.
"The other three smiled sympethitacally at him before Sirius decided to change the subject "Pete, do you like pranks?" He asked with a mischeivious glint in his eyes.
"Yes," Said Peter cautiously "why?"
"Perfect," Said Sirius, "clasping his hands together all four of us are pranksters and we meet by chance on the train we could become the greatest pranksters Hogwarts has ever known." He said excitedly.
James was nodding his head in approval Remus was slightly sceptical and Peter just seemed to want friends so they all agreed and the Marauders were born.
Maggie- I wrote this chapter but now Nicky's gonna read over it and add her bits I liked writing this chapter and I apologise for the long wait me and Nicky are both very busy with exams so we don't really have time though we will try to update sooner in the future, now I'm going to hand this over to Nicky for editing.
Nicky-I helped with this chapter. Ok I'm doing my exams at the moment so I don't really have time or energy to write any fanfiction.
