SUM: Sara is seeing Nick. Then Nick hears loud noises from his and Sara's room.
Sara and Nick where having breakfast in the dining room of their apartment. The dining room had red wallpaper with a cream carpet and the table was made of clear glass. The table seated six people and only Nick and Sara were sitting there on the leather chairs. Nick was reading the daily paper. He was reading the sport's page.
Sara was eating a bowl of Coco Pops and she was wearing a black silky nightdress with red slippers and a white dressing gown.
Nick said to Sara, "We need to get dressed and get off to work. I wonder what's in store for us tonight.
Sara replies, "I don't think I can go to work tonight. I don't feel very well. I think that I will phone Grissom and explain."
Nick says, "Are you sure that you are ok sweetie? I will let Grissom know that you will not be in tonight. I will come back later and check on you."
Sara says, "No! It's ok. I will just go back to bed with a hot cup of tea and a good book. Ok honey."
Nick says, "Oh, ok if you are sure. I need to go to work. I will see you soon. Love you."
Sara says, "I love you too. I will see you when you get home."
Nick leaves the apartment and walked down the garden path. The garden was covered in grass with different coloured flowers all around. Nick gets into his blue SUV and put a Prince cassette in the player.
As Nick was driving through the town he passed a lot of clubs, casinos and fast food restaurant. He began to feel hungry. He pulled over and went into the Kentucky Fried Chicken take away. He ordered himself a twister and a cup of tea with milk and two sugars. He then left the take away. As he was leaving he noticed that there was only ten people there. Not bad for that time of night.
As he was turning into the lab car park he saw an old man walking his dog. As he parked he realised that he had forgotten his ID card. He tried to phone Sara to tell her he would be coming home sooner that he thought, as he couldn't work without his card.
He couldn't get an answer as the house so he just presumed that Sara went back to sleep. He went into the lab to talk to Grissom about Sara. As he opened the door he heard Grissom shout his name.
Grissom asked, "Where is Sara?"
"Nick replied, "Oh she said to tell you that she is sorry she is not feeling well tonight."
Grissom says, "Oh nice of her to tell me herself. Do you know when she will be back?"
Nick says, "Sorry I don't. She might be back tomorrow night. I will ask her when I go home to get my ID."
Grissom says, "Thanks, if you would."
Nick says, "I'll just go home now before any work comes in."
As Nick opened his car door to get back in a red car pulled up behind him and he heard a man's voice saying that his girlfriend was cheating on him.
Nick was puzzled for a moment then began to get worried as he got into the SUV. He started the car and pulled out of the car park. He then began the journey back home.
As Nick turned into his drive he sees Sara's car with another behind it. It was a car that Nick recognised instantly.
