"Emma, please, listen to me," Manny said.
"Why?" Emma asked sliding into a chair between Liberty and Chris across from JT, Toby, and Kendra.
"Because, I just need someone to talk to."
Emma ignored her and opened her water and took a drink.
"I have to tell you something!" Manny exclaimed.
"What do you have to tell me?"
"I'm pregnant Emma!" she said.
The cafeteria grew quiet and everyone turned to look at her.
Emma glared at Manny. "Why should I care?" she asked.
"Because you're my friend," Manny whimpered. "And I'm scared."
"We're not friends Manny," Emma said.
Manny looked around and then burst into tears and turned and ran out of the cafeteria.
