"Hi Sammy," Terri said, as she ran into her in the bathroom.
"Hey, Terri," she replied.
"I'm, um, having a few girls over to my house this weekend and I was wondering if you'd like to come over."
"Sure." This was the first time all year that she had been invited over to someone's house. "Oh, wait. What about Gabe?" Sometimes she forgot that she was a teen mom.
"Oh, yeah. I forgot," she said. "But if you can find someone to take care of him would you come?"
"Sure," Sammy replied.
Terri smiled.
"Who else is going to be there?" Sammy asked.
"Kendra Mason, Spinner's sister—"
"Tell me that she's nothing like her brother," Sammy asked, she had heard of Kendra but never actually met her.
Terri laughed. "She's vicious and that's it," Terri said. She was freshening up her make-up. "Also Paige and Hazel and Ellie."
"Sounds good," Sammy said.
Terri handed Sammy her phone number. "Call me if you can make it," she said.
"Will do," Sammy said.
Terri smiled and left.
Sammy grinned at her reflection. When she was in elementary school the only friend she had was Craig and when she moved to Germany she was her own friend especially since she was forced to attend a private (strict!) prep school and now at Degrassi she had tons of friends.
She turned and walked out of the bathroom.
Ashley opened one of the stalls and stared at her reflection. How come she wasn't on Terri's invite list, they had become pretty good friends again after PMS reunited. She blinked back tears and then stopped herself. Maybe Terri went looking for her. Maybe she was invited after all. She just hoped that Sammy wouldn't be able to make it. The warning bell rang and she ducked out of the bathroom before the tardy bell rang.
