Sammy knocked on the door and Craig answered it with Gabriel on his hip. "Look who's here, Gabe," Craig said. Sammy reached for her son but he didn't stop crying. He tugged at his ear.

Sammy sighed. "I'm so sorry, Craig," she said, walking in. "I think, he has another ear infection."

"Ear infection?" Craig asked.

"Yeah, I'm sorry."

"It's ok," he replied, shaking his head.

Sammy looked at Craig. "Is there something you're not telling me?"

"No, I'm telling you everything."

Sammy glared at him. "I can tell when you're lying to me, Craig."

Craig looked at Spinner and Jimmy. Jimmy stood up to leave the room but Spinner sat there. Jimmy grabbed him by the arm and pulled him up and dragged him into the kitchen. Craig turned back to Sammy. "I wasn't sure that I was ready to be a father," he said.

Sammy looked at him. "You are," she said.

"But I'm not sure."

"You're a better father than your dad and definitely mine," Sammy said.

"Yeah, but—"

"But you baby-sat Gabe on one of his bad days big deal. Otherwise, he's the way you usually see him." Sammy was bouncing Gabriel on her hip until he fell asleep.

Craig reached for Gabriel and took him from her and put Gabriel on his own hip and Gabriel laid his head down on Craig's shoulder and popped his thumb in his mouth and played with his ear. "I'm just still not sure," he said, shaking his head.

"No, but I am," Sammy said. "I'm sure you'll make a great dad."

Craig smiled and leaned down and kissed Sammy on the lips. Sammy pulled back. "Carry him over to my house and I'll give him the medicine for his ear ache," she said.

Craig nodded. He looked at the guys and they walked out of the house behind them.
