Sean walked down the hall about the same time Manny was walking up. She saw him and tried to wave him down. Sean turned and walked right into Ellie and sending her flying to the floor.
"Sorry, Ellie," Sean said, reaching down and helping her up, then getting down and picking up her things.
"No problem," she said. "Just watch where you're going next time."
"Ellie, could you do me a favor?"
"What?"
Sean looked over and stared at Manny. "Oh," Ellie said. "You want to use me so that you don't have to talk to the girl who is possibly carrying your child." He looked at her. "What? It's not like it's a big secret."
Sean rolled his eyes. "I hate being part of the rumor mill," he said.
"Ok, what do you want me to do?" she asked, leaning against the locker.
He shrugged and reached over and took her books and leaned against the lockers next to her. "Improvise," he said.
"Ok," she replied. She saw Manny walking over and then she leaned over and kissed him on the lips. When Manny was next to them, Ellie pulled away and smiled. "Talk to you later." Then she took off down the hall.
Not exactly what I had in mind, he thought.
"Sean," Manny said.
"Can't talk, gotta go," he replied, he turned and took off down the hall after Ellie.
"Sean!"
But Sean was already down the hall and grabbing Ellie. "You're supposed to protect me from her," he said.
"She's not my problem," Ellie said, smiling up at him.
"You are the most evil girl in this school."
She smiled. "I know."
