She was back at the Ponderosa again, She hadn't been there since she was a little girl. She remembered everything like it was yesterday, Little Joe and her was out front playing as Adam and Hoss learned how to rustle cattle. Now Joe and her were twenty-one, Hoss was twenty-three, and Adam was twenty-eight.
She walked up to the door and knocked lightly, a man opened the door and smiled "Hello beautiful." Desirae slightly smiled remembering those smile "Joe? Little Joe Cartwright?" Joe started at her for a few seconds then hugged her, lifting her off the ground. "If it isn't little Miss Desirae!" He set her down then walked in with her. "how have you been?"
Desirae smiled at Joe "I've been doing fine little Joe, yourself?" Joe and her sat in the living room as they started talking, Ben, Adam, and Hoss walked in. " well who's your new friend Joe?" Little Joe looked up to Hoss. "Well you should know her, it's little Desirae." Ben walked over to her shaking his head "Well you aren't little anymore are you?" Desirae nodded " it has been seven years." Adam was still staring at her with no emotion on his face. Desirae looked at him " is something wrong Adam? You are staring at me like I'm a ghost." Adam sat on the table in front of her as Hoss sat to the side. Little Joe looked to Desirae then stood up and walked out. " What's the matter with Joe." Desirae got up and followed after Joe "why did you leave so soon?" Little Joe looked at her as he sat down on a chair " It's just amazing your back, you have been gone for seven years. What now makes you want to come back?" Desirae sighed then slowly sat down " you act as if we never had a friendship!" Little Joe got up and began yelling " Friendship! I haven't heard from you in seven years!" She got up and stared at him " Fine I see you aren't happy to see me." Desirae got her stuff that was on the ground, walked over to her horse. Joe ran over spun her around , then kissed her. She pulled away and stared at him, blinking once or twice before looking down "Why?" Desirae replied "Joe I had to I couldn't stand it here after my father Pa died." Joe kissed her again mean while Adam and Hoss came walking out of the house "Well you don't waste anytime do you Joe?" Little Joe turned around to Adam "I didn't kiss her." Desirae looked down again before she got onto her horse. " I'm staying at a hotel in Virigina City, I'll be back sometime. I'm here for a month."
Desirae arrived at the hotel around five p.m., she walked into her room as she shut the door john walked out from behind the door "Well hello Desirae." She went to open the door and run out as she opened the door he pushed her down. Desirae sat up and stared at him "what do you want?" He sat down on the bed " you left so soon Desirae. Why did you want to come all the way down to Virginia City?" Desirae stood up "when I said I wanted to break it off with you, I meant it!" John got up and griped her arms " let me go!" She yelled, then she began struggling . John pushed her down and left. when he left Desirae Began crying as she was crying there was a knock on the door. "Go Away!"
