Lorelai drove through the streets of Stars Hallow, on her way back to The Dragonfly Inn. She had guests there, people who were proud of her. She couldn't just let them down, just because Rory let her down. The visions of Rory & Dean coming out of Rory's bedroom, clothes a mess, hair a mess, and all nervous acting.
"Stop it Lorelai! You can deal with her later." She says to herself as she pulls into the driveway of the Inn.
She walks into the entryway and sees Jason & Luke sitting, talking. She quietly approaches the two, a little worried what they are talking about. She sits on the edge of a chair next to Luke and smiles. Looking between the two, she can't tell what is going on.
Jason stretches and then stands up. "So Lorelai, can I have the room your parents had or do I have to drive all the way home tonight?" He asks.
Whatever Jason! I don't have the time or energy to argue with you." Lorelai says as she gets up and heads to the front desk to get the key to the room.
Jason grabs the key and smiles as her. Kissing her softly on the cheek. "Thank you my dear. I knew you would come around. I'm going to retire to bed now, we can talk tomorrow." He says.
After Jason leaves, Lorelai sits back down next to Luke. "Listen, it's not what you think. He is just some moron who doesn't know when someone is serious." She says.
"You don't have to tell me. I just sat here and talked to the guy for over and hour. Listening to how you two were so in love." Luke explains. He pauses and takes Lorelai's hands in his. "I didn't have the guts to tell him that if you were so in love with him, then you sure had a hell of a way of showing it. I mean, what were you thinking, kissing me like you did earlier. That's no way to act when you're in love with someone else." He teases.
Lorelai tries her best to smile, but her mind keeps going back to the scene at the house. "Oh Luke, why me, why do I have to go through so much." She says as she breaks down and starts to cry.
