Chapter 5
(Clark sprints into his house, but everything is still. Too still. Looking around, Clark focuses his hearing and hears a slight ripping sound, then a faint heartbeat. He sprints into the barn, and finds both of his parents on the ground, their bodies soaked with blood and their clothing torn.)
Clark: "Mom! Dad!"
(Neither of them responds, and Clark picks them both up and sprints to the hospital. He bursts in the doors, his thoughts racing, and calls for a doctor.)
Nurse (Busy in her papers, she doesn't look up.): "How can I help you?"
(She looks up and sees the two bloody bodies, and quickly rushes over to him.)
Nurse: "DOCTOR! How did this happen?"
Clark (His words slurring, bumping over each other): "I don't know! I found them in the barn!"
(Rushing over, the doctor has his stethoscope in hand. Several orderlies are with him. They take Mr. and Mrs. Kent and carry them to the E.R. quickly. Clark follows. The doctor takes vitals as they go. When they get them laid down, several more doctors show up and the nurse pulls Clark out of the room. Clark looks in the window as they quickly get to work.)
