She had promised herself that she wasn't going to get involved with this.
Of course, Janet had to go and threaten the big needles, and here she stood now.
On this stage, a guitar in her arms, and a microphone in front of her.
The DJ's clear voice rang out through the loud speakers, "And next on our list for the evening is Sammy Carter with 'This Way' a song she wrote herself. This is new music first at your number one club in the area, The Vines."
The audience clapped halfheartedly, not really knowing what to expect. She could hear Janet clapping insanely somewhere in the back though.
And it sounded as though the guys were with her.
Oh boy.
As she began to play, her body slowly relaxed and she began to feel the music.

Her voice faded out and the crowd erupted into cheers.
She smiled for a moment before slowly leaving the stage, the crowd still continuing to clap and cheer.
She carefully made her way to the back of the club, knowing Janet would be there to smile and tell her how great she did.
She blushed when she saw the guys with her though.
Daniel seemed speechless, Teal'c had a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, and Jack was smirking.
Yes, he was smirking.
Then his smirk turned into one of the biggest smiles she had ever seen from him.
He knew who that song had been written for.
It was okay that the rest of them didn't know.
It could be their little secret.
And they were both okay with that.
