Scene 2
(Camera fades in. Will, the governor, and many others are seen sitting around a table talking and arguing. The Camera moves in closer to Will, his face shows disappointment.)
GOVERNOR: Will, I know you like this job, but it is simply unacceptable. We cannot have you prancing around as a...blacksmith if you want to marry my daughter.
Will: But...
GOVERNOR: (raises voice) No buts Will! (Takes a deep breath) Now, I have spoken with Commodore Norrington. (Camera jumps to a shot of Norrington, and jumps back) He is wiling to give you a position on his ship. (Will jumps up in protest) Now, I know you haven't had any proper training but you have some (hesitates, trying to find the right word) previous skills on a boat, and we think this will be the best for everyone.
Will: The best for everyone? What about me! And Elizabeth! I will hardly get to see her. I will not let you control...
GOVERNOR: (says very sternly) If you want to marry my daughter you will do as I say. (Governor pauses waiting for Will to protest again) Okay, it has been settled. You will start next week under Commodore Norrington.
(Everyone gets up and walks towards the door. Norrington pulls Will aside)
NORRINGTON: Everyone may think that you are a great sailor, but I will be the one to tell you the truth. I think of you as nothing but a filthy pirate. You will never be anything else no matter how much Mr. Swann attempts to dress you up; it is in your blood. Your dirty father was the same way. Running around as if he owned the world. I will not give you any special treatment on my ship. You will start next week as a swain. Any questions? (Doesn't wait for a response) Good.
(Norrington starts to walk away)
Will: You might think that I will be nothing but an annoyance on your ship. But pirate or not, I do know how to maintain a ship and win a battle. Which is quite a helpful thing to know. I will do whatever it takes. As you said, it is in my blood.
(Will Smirks and Strides off, greeting Elizabeth who was waiting outside the door)
ELIZABETH: So? What happened in there?
Will: It takes a great deal to marry you Elizabeth. But I will go to any length to be with you. (Will takes Elizabeth's hand)
ELIZABETH: (seems uninterested in what he is saying) But what happened?
Will: (Will sighs) They thought I should join the Commodore's ship.
ELIZABETH: (is ecstatic) That's great!
(Elizabeth hugs Will, and they walk off as the Camera fades to black.)
A/N: Okay yeah here's the first two scenes. I KNOW THEY'RE SHORT CHAPTERS. But I placed each scene in a chapter to make it easier to understand. Okay so...ya...I hope you like it, and the next scene(s) will be up as soon as I get a couple of reviews. (
