~Prolouge~
I didn't know why Nurse Puu called me here. After all it was past my
bedtime, and she was the first one to fuss about getting a proper nights
sleep. I looked blearily around the small room, rubbing the sleep out of my
eyes.
Just then the door opened. I looked up. There she was, Nurse Puu. She was
followed by Isis.
"Ah, Prince Atem, you made it." she said in her soft, whisper-like voice.
"Puu!" I cried, rushing to hug her. She bent down to return my hug. I
buried my face into her long green-black hair, then I pulled away.
"Prince Atem, Isis, I have something to tell you." her face looked deadly
serious. For a moment, I was scared. What was so wrong that she had to tell
us now? I glanced at Isis. She looked confused.
"What is it, Lady Puu?" she asked. Puu gave a sad sigh. She broke her eyes
away from us.
"I must leave." she said quickly.
"To where?" I was filled with relief. Puu was probably going to some other
place in Egypt to fulfill a challenge of the Shadow Games. I looked back up
at her. Her eyes were still looking away.
"To where?" I asked again. She looked down at me and Isis, I saw tears
shining in her lavender eyes.
"Beyond Time, Space and Eternity." she looked at both of us, almost
apprehensively. Then all of a sudden she cried out: "Pluto Planet Power,
Make Up!"
She held out what looked like a lip gloss stick with a planetary symbol on
it. Pale lilac light burst out from the top of it. The light encircled
Puu's body, making it almost impossible to see. Then it cleared. Puu was
standing there, a glitter coming onto her lips coloring them a deep
magenta. Instead of the long Egyptian gown she wore only seconds before,
she was wearing a suit with a small black skirt with keys hanging from it..
The suit had a dark garnet red brooch in the center of a black bow and a
black collar. In her hand was a key-like staff. I looked at Isis to see her
reaction. The look on her face was like mine. A cross between wonder,
disbelief, and confusion.
"Puu...?" I asked. She nodded. She gave her staff a wave, and behind her
appeared a door with the phases of the moon on it.
"Isis," she removed the Sennen Tauk from her neck and put it on Isis. "This
belongs to you now." She turned to me.
"Atem, protect your sister." she leaned down to give me a quick hug. "And
remember, no matter what happens, no matter what anyone claims, you are the
next Pharaoh." She turned around as the doors of the Portal opened. My
mind, which had been numb since the transformation, suddenly snapped awake.
"No, Puu!" I shouted trying to grab her, but Isis held me back. I fought
furiosly with her. How could she watch Puu leave forever and just stand
there? I struggled against her grip, but she was 5 years older than me, and
therefore much more stronger. I gave up and helplessly watched Puu leave me
forever.
"Puu!" I cried out once more. But it was in vain. She was gone. The portal
closed and disappeared. And for 3,000 years, she wouldn't come back.
