This story is a sequel to "Black and White Angels". In the third disk of the game, if you get back into Midgar, you can see a "ghost" of Aeris floating above the flower bed, where the only natural light is said to fall in Midgar. This story is Cloud's reaction after seeing her again, only this time…as a ghost.
I dedicate this story to…Hannah, or Bellasage if you wish. Even if you never talk to me again…just know that I care, and I worry about your future.
I saw her again.
In the church, floating there, above me.
Like a spectre of the past.
Just living…
The flowers that she took care of were alive and well, the red the blue the orange the purple-
Why did I go there again? To pay my last respects to the past, to remember what might have been if she had lived long enough?
I feel like crying.
Just closing my eyes to the world and letting the tear flow out, they want to.
The sword piercing through her chest, and her falling.
Falling…falling…into that deepening emptiness water.
Disappearing.
Yet…there she was.
Above me.
The light cascades in, and falls upon me, illuminating my face and creeping into my soul.
The tremor passes through my hand, quaking everything around it. I am shaking, shaking because…
