Mimi Lockhart stared at her prom picture. It was the happiest night of her life. He had treated her like a princess. It was everything she had hoped it would be, and then some, until he dumped her. He never gave her a reason, just said it was over, and then walked away from her.
Jason Welles had been out of her life for five months. She could not forget the way he had treated her like a queen, then dropped her like trash. Yet, when she saw him around Salem, he seemed the least bit remorseful. Half of the time, he wouldn't even look her way.

 Jason didn't lie to her much. When he did, it was about something major. More than once, he'd say he was going to be home, doing homework or studying. Later, she'd find out that he'd gone to Philip's house to drink. He'd get so drunk, that he would never remember what happened on those nights.
Mimi refused to stand for that. She let Jason know about it, too. They had gotten into a huge argument over it. Every possible thing was mentioned. It resulted in hours of him apologizing. Some great "make up" sex was involved. He dumped her soon after that, though.

Jason was going to be at the same party Mimi was. It was a dinner party thrown by her best friend. She was announcing her engagement. Mimi was unsure if she wanted to be there, but it was Belle and Shawn, so she had to go.
She'd had something like they do once. Out of the blue, it disappeared. Mimi wanted it back again.

At the party...
Mimi looked around the table. Jason sat to her direct left. Next to him was Kim, Philip's new girlfriend, followed by Phil, Belle, Shawn, Chloe, and ending with Brady on her right.
"Everyone knows why you are here, so I just want to let you know, you are all in the wedding," Belle said.
"Yeah, and I hope that one day, you all find this kind of love," Shawn added.
With that statement being said, Jason got up and walked out. Mimi followed shortly after. When she finally found him, he was sitting on the jungle gym in Salem Park.

 Mimi sat in the shadows and watched for a while. "Meems, I am so sorry, Jason said. "I don't know why I did it, but I am sorry. I wish I could make it up to you. What can I do?" he called into the night.
"Cry just a little for me," she whispered. When Jason put his head in his hands, and his body became wracked with sobs, Mimi walked away. She felt a twinge of pain, but she knew now she'd be able to move on with her life. "Thank you," she whispered, not looking back.
