"lily-" James started.
Lily held a hand out. "don't." She said. "james, you said, when you proposed. We'd live a happy life, and now look."
"I'm sorry lily, but Dumbledore needs to talk to me." James said.
"But it's Christmas tomorrow!" Lily pleaded, now she had tears in her eyes. "don't you want to spend christmas with your son?"
"lily, he said it's an emergancy!" James said.
"What's so important that he needs to talk to you a day before Christmas?" lily said.
"I don't know!" James said feeling like he was going crazy. "something about a prophecy-"
"Well, I don't care about a prophecy, james potter! I care about you!" Lily said.
"then let me go, I promise to get back as soon as possible." James said.
Lily wiped away some tears then swallowed hard. "Go." She said sighing.
James leaned down to give her a kiss, but she refused. He thought again if Dumbledore really was serious. Then he started to get his stuff together, and leave to Hogwarts. Lily left to the kitchen where harry, their son was playing in a playpin.
Lily picked up her son and held him in her hands. His eyes resembled hers and harry's messy hair was no doubt from James. It was definently their son. And not by force, lily had freeingly gave herself to James. She finally gave into his hogwarts tricks and his weird way of trying to make her his.
"james! I don't like you, you slob, get away from me!" she said repeating those words every day.
"C'mon, you need a 'lily-by' or something to get you some rest." James said.
"Don't touch me!" she yelled.
But lily's screams were not heard from anyone but her and James. He had put a charm on the door, so no one could here anything in the classroom they were standing in.
"lily?" James asked slowly.
"what?" She spat out.
"do you like me?" He asked his question.
"no james, I don't." She said easily.
"what's wrong with me?" He asked.
"well-" She started, but stopped.
What was wrong with him? She asked her self. Everything! He was just so...
Lily stopped her thinking and looked at James. He was sitting on one of the desktops. He was giving up. After 7 years. He was finally going to leave her alone, but the question was, did she really want him to leave?
Lily woke up from her thoughts. She saw James by the doorway staring at her. She just stared back, then he held onto his bag and broom, and went out the door.
As the door closed, lily buried her face in her hands.
