Ginny stood silently, her back perfectly straight. Her long white dress blew in the crisp wind.

Tilting her head back, she let her auburn curls tumble down her back as the stars lit her face with

their pale glow. Standing on the highest tower of Hogwarts, she looked like an angel. She

sighed softly before turning around. "Hello Harry" she whispered, not at all surprised to see him

behind her. He smiled carefully "I didn't mean to disturb you." She smiled "you didn't, I always

have time for my friends, you know that. How'd you find me here?" Harry gestured to his

Firebolt on the floor beside him. "I was just taking a ride to clear my head. He caught the

wistful look on her face before she could completely mask it. "Gin? What is it?" he asked in

concern. "What is flying like?" she asked suddenly, as if she couldn't hold it back any longer.

Harry's jaw dropped in astonishment. "You've never flown before?" Ginny shook her head

slightly. "Mum and the boys decided it was too dangerous for me." Harry shook his head in

amazement. "You can take care of yourself, they of all people should know that. Come here, I'll

teach you." Ginny's face lit up instantly. "Really? You'd do that?" Harry nodded "Of course".

Hesitantly, Ginny walked over to him. Harry climbed on and helped her up so that she was

sitting behind him. "Ready?" Ginny nodded, grinning. Carefully, Harry took of, circling slowly

above the tower. Ginny gasped as they soared out over the edge and the ground seemed to

drop away in front of them. She instinctively tightened her hold on Harry. He laughed softly "you

want to go closer to the ground?" "No!" Ginny yelped, "I love it! Go faster!" Grinning, Harry

sped up and they flew for several minuets silently, both of them absorbed in there own thoughts.

Suddenly Ginny nudged him and pointed to a nearby window. "Look! It's the common room!"

Harry grinned mischievously. "Lets go see" he guided the broom over and hovered just outside

the big window. Peering thru, they were shocked to see Ron's arm slung casually around

Hermione's shoulder as they sat in front of the fire. "What?!" Harry whispered" are they going

out?" He twisted to that he could see Ginny in time to see her already surprised expression turn

into one of mild disgust. "Look!" she mumbled, pointing vaguely in their direction. Harry turned

back around to see them snogging each other senseless. "Ugh." Ginny nodded fervently. "Lets

go somewhere else. I don't wanna see this." Harry quickly flew them back to the tower.

"Well...that was.... um...interesting." Ginny nodded "yeah, thanks for taking me flying. It was

amazing." She quickly stood on her tiptoes and gently kissed his cheek. He grinned sheepishly.

"Well, should we go thoroughly embarrass Ron and Hermione?" He held out his hand to her.

Grinning, she took it and together they walked away.
