Sherlock's Sparrow: Thanks.
Christina: Thank you. I agree completely. I don't what I wasn't thinking when I posted that.
Chapter the First: Helige Diabloes
[Historian Note (H/N): The papers, and scrolls found from Helige Diabloes was taken from present day Germany and Spain, making it a Middle Earth province.] Two members of the Fellowship of the Ring later determined to be Legolas and Aragorn were found sleeping in a cave in the snow capped mountains near Helige Diabloes. [H/N: No accounts have been found have answered how, why, and what they were doing sleeping in that cave.] So, the group of loyal Helige Diabloes citizens rounded them up and took them to town.
When awakened from their slumber, our two companions found themselves lying on piles of soft cushions and sheets. [H/N: I made a stab at what their dialogue was like.]
"Where are we?" asked Legolas, looking around the comfortable, yet sparsely furnished room.
"I cannot say," answered Aragorn.
Both were confused on how they came to be in this room, without being woken. Their questions were soon put on hold, because there was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in," Aragorn and Legolas said in unison.
Two servant girls entered. They curtsied when they saw the man and Elf.
"Baths have been made for you," they said, "follow us."
Legolas and Aragorn were given their own bath room. In each room was a marble tub filled with hot water, scented oil and foam. There was a small table next to the tub with bottles of solutions for hair, bars of soap, and a large stack of soft towels. Above the table was a small mirror hanging on the wall.
After their baths, Legolas and Aragorn were given silk tunics and leggings to wear.
After an hour, the servant girls came back and led Aragorn and Legolas back to the room with the cushions and sheets, where a low table was set up with pitchers of fruit juice, platters of bread, cheese, and rolls, bowls of honey, fruit, and nuts on it. Two cushions sat on the floor at either end of the table as seats. The servant girls left, and Aragorn and Legolas sat on the cushions.
Unknown the two friends, they were being watched in their room from a specially made window that lets the watchers see them, but them not being able to see the watchers. The watchers were all women, being the only "free" people in Heilige Diabloes, and they were discussing the pros and cons of keeping them. It took several hours for the women to make their decision. [H/N:Records do not show what exactly took place during this discussion, but quite obviously, they decided to keep our friends.]
