Authors Note: After two years, I've finally decided to review this story to see if it has any redeeming qualities.

Summary: Eriol, an agent for the MI-6, is assigned to a case concerning the assasination of an Illuminati member. Where does Tomoyo fit into all this? How far will Eriol fall into her web of illusions?

Preface

"Good day, I trust you are all well," a slightly balding man said to the crowd before him. As he spoke, all chatter ceased and the room was filled with a respectful silence. "I've arranged this meeting to discuss a matter of great concern. But first, I must know if you've all heard of the Illuminati." All present nodded, either knowing of or having heard rumors of the powerful secret society. "It seems that one of their members has gone missing."

It was then that a deep baritone voice rose from the crowd, the owner rising from his seat as well. "I highly doubt the Illuminati would be willing to release such information, James. It is a secret society after all," he said. "How then, could you know this?"

"If you were patient, you would already know by now Agent Hiirigazawa. Now sit down and let me finish," James replied through clenched teeth. Eriol looked as if he wanted to say something else, but thought better of it as he quickly returned to his seat. "This information was released to me via a letter, written by a Miss Daidouji. She wrote of the recent and untimely death of Mr. Edward Harper, who she has connected with the Illuminati as one of its thirteen members. Harper, she told me, was her biological father. It seems that after his death, Miss Daidouji was asked to take his place, but she refused the offer. She was afraid that she would meet the same end her father had. The ultimate purpose of her letter though was to request further inspection of her father's case. She strongly believes there is more to it than that which meets the eye."

"So she expects us to pull the missing facts out of our arses? I've looked it over, there's not enough information, James. It's an impossible feat!"

"My patience in your interupting me has grown quite thin, Eriol. Here is my final warning; either listen or leave!" James bellowed as he turned a peculiar shade of violet.

"I will not leave you depilated old coot! If she wants to find the cause of her goddamned father's death, let her take it up with the Blues. I don't see why we should waste any more of our time with this," Eriol argued.

James laughed, it was loud and filled with bitterness. "I don't give a crap about your time Eriol. Furthermore, since you're already acquainted with the case, I'll be assigning it to you for further inspection as Miss Daidouji has requested. You will accept this assignment or you'll face the consequences. Do I make myself clear?"

"Crystal," Eriol muttered as he quickly rose from his seat and took his leave.

Authors Note: I would like to thank Blackheart Syaoran for the plot idea two years too late. It was so good that I've decided to use it in this story. Now that I have a plot, I'm hoping that it will be easier for me to update. Thank you all for your patience.
