They sat on the couch snuggling close. Wesley held her as close to him as possible.

"Wes, are you trying to suffocate me?" Fred asked with a laugh in her voice her eyes shining.

"No, I just don't want to let you go, not ever." He answered burying his head in her hair.

"Wes, I'm not going anywhere." She said in a reassuring voice.

"I know, but I'm happier than I ever have been, and I don't want that to go away." He replied "I never want to lose you."

She turned in his arms "Wes," she said cupping his face she kissed him passionately "you never will, I love you, and I'll never leave you."

He smiled "It might take a little more than that to convince me." He leaned forward.

"Oh really?" she said playfully she smiled, stretched up and kissed him.

He pulled away long enough to say "I love you." He kissed her again then she lay back in his arms

"I love you to." she whispered loud enough for him to hear. He leaned down and kissed the top of her head, she closed her eyes and sighed, perfectly happy. "Good thing I'm not Angel." She said jokingly "If I was I'd be evil."

They both laughed. Smiling she fell asleep in his arms though Fred never knew it there was a slight bulge in his pocket a velvet box inside was a ring one that he was going to give her the next day at lunch he silently prayed. He had told no one his plan to propose out of fear that they would talk him out of it.
