The Chronicles of the Sword: The Beginning

Chapter One:

Friends, Once Enemies

Hey, guys and gals! Today, I was wondering what happened before, between and after the adventures of the 4 known Links. Yet I think there are much more heroes in Hyrule then just four. I shall start my series at the beginning of time: the way it should be. The setting is Hyrule, half a century after the three goddesses created the small land.

Disclaimer: This Disclaimer shall last for the entire story. I don't own the Zelda or its own characters, but I do own my own made up characters.

Well, let's get started!

Two generations ago, or fifty years ago, the land of Hyrule was created by three golden goddesses.

Din, with her flaming arms, created the earth and cultivated the land…

Nayru created the law, and the lives of people…

Farore made things that would uphold the law, and changed the chaotic land into a beautiful world…

The young man stopped reading. He always cherished things that his parents wrote. Yet, both of them had died three years ago. His father was a writer who wrote about legends. This was one of his works: The creation of Hyrule. He rolled up the scrolls and put them onto the side of the table. He took out a quill and a piece of parchment. He took out a small jar of ink, opened it, and dipped the tip of the quill and started writing on the parchment:

            Dear Laurie,

How have you been? I have been working with the Sheikah. How is life as a warrior? We have chosen a spot to make a small village. We still have to build a windmill for some family that has a phonograph. They keep singing strange song. Every time they sang it, it would start raining! We have decided to make a well, even though we are next to the Dark River. Who's winning the battle right now? I hope you guys win! Those things, Dark Zoras, they're trying to take control of the land, am I right? Well, talk to you later!

            Jonathan

Jonathan let out a deep sigh. These fish kind of humans, they just appeared and they decided to try and take over Hyrule. Jonathan wondered why. He just needed to check it out. He packed his food, gear and his weapons. His weapons were a short knife, a long sword, and a long bow. He said to a Sheikah, "See you later, Zerous. Oh, could you put this into the mailbox for me?" The Sheikah looked at him and nodded his head. "Sure. Bye."

After about fifteen minutes following a trail, he found a sign. It used to say "Hylia River", but now was scratched out and says, "Dark River". He kept walking. "Great…" He muttered. The Dark Zora must have blocked the path up the river, because there were boulders nestling side by side, blocking the way. He couldn't swim because the water goes downstream, not up. He put his hand in a small hole in the boulder and pulled. He took out his hand, and put it to the top of the boulder. He put his foot in, and he pushed. He made it to the top of the giant rock, and he jumped down. He saw a tree with a nest in one of the branches. He checked the eggs in it. They were cuckoo eggs. He found a broken bridge that led to the other side of the river. He ran across it and jumped a large hole. He made it.

As he kept walking, he found a waterfall. He looked around.

"That's all you'll go!" Said a voice above him.
