The chocolate brown eyes of Hermione Granger stared into the mysterious gray eyes of the only man she ever loved. Severus Snape. They were both sitting on top of the potion master's desk talking and kissing and kissing and talking.

"You should've seen the look on Harry and Ron's face when you gave me detention, Severus," said the brown haired seventeen year old who had grown a lot over the summer.

"Yes, I imagine they would've been quite surprised since you are too smart to get detentions," Snape said and touched Hermione's forehead.

They both smiled and kissed passionately, Snape running his long bony fingers through Hermione's long wavy hair. Hermione did the same to Snape's shoulder-length greasy black hair. She pulled apart from the kiss and examined her fingers.

"Well," she said to Snape, "you have way to much grease in your hair." She said to her teacher and wiped her hand on her robes, a head girl badge glimmering at her chest. "So tell me, why do you grease you hair?"

Snape ran his pale hand over his hair, feeling the grease, "It keeps it down love," he said and a half grin appeared on his long face.

"Well, could you decrease the amount of grease you put on you hair please?" she asked, pouting her lips.

"Alright Miss Granger, but you must do something about your frizzy hair." Snape agreed, pulling one of her long, wavy strands of hair.

"It only frizzes in the summer!," Hermione said loudly, "And Severus, please call me Hermione, or I won't do anything about my hair!"

"Fine, Hermione. You must do something about your frizzy hair." Snape repeated, rolling his eyes and kissing Hermione again.

Finally, the two pulled away from each other. Snape took his tiny silver pocket watch out of the pocket of his old black robes.

"My dear, look what time it is," he said gaping dramatically at the watch, "You should be in bed now!"

"Severus, I'm Head Girl now, I don't need to be in bed at a certain time," Hermione told him.

"Well, Potter and Weasley are probably wondering where you are," Snape said tapping the desk with his fingers.

"You are just trying to get rid of me aren't you Severus!" exclaimed Hermione, who jumped off the desk.

"You caught me my dear, but I really need you out of here for Dumbledore is going to be meeting me here in about half an hour," Snape said truthfully and began cleaning the messy desk. He leaned in towards his student and kissed her for the third time, but this time was the most passionate of the three.

"Alright," Hermione said and left the dungeons and headed for the entrance to Gryffindor Tower. The Fat Lady in the portrait that guarded the entrance to the common room seemed to be dozing off, until Hermione tapped the portrait with her wand.

"Password?" said the fat lady sleepily.

"Portkey," Hermione said dully, as the portrait swung open. She was thankful that this term the password was easy to remember.

Hermione entered the deserted circular common room, which was messier that usual. Candy wrappers from Hogsmeade were left on the floor and open textbooks were left on the couches and tables. She walked upstairs to the girl's dormitory, changed quickly into her pajamas, and hopped into bed. She smiled into her pillow, this year was going to be a great year at Hogwarts.
