AN: This is my first Navy NCIS fanfic so be nice on the reviews! Also I just had to say that I don't own anything having to do with the show. I only own the wonderful thoughts that they have in this short fanfic. Also I am using some of the sentences they used in the show, so sorry if I can't remember all the sentences. Chapter 1 Café Thoughts
I can't believe he lied! Kate thought, as she followed after Gibbs. Here I was talking to a cute, intelligent Navy NCIS officer and Gibbs comes up and just lies about what I do for them.
"Why did you have to do that?" She asked.
"Do what?" He said innocently, as he sat down.
"Lie like that."
"Rule number 7. When you lie, lie thoroughly. Take a seat;" he added placing an extra cup of coffee in front of her. "Do you want the coffee or not," he asked, seeing her eye it suspiciously.
"I only drink my coffee with cream," she said, still annoyed.
"Try it," he said.
She took a sip. Dam he's good. How did he know I like cream, I never told him before now. Kate sipped her coffee in silence. It's been a few minutes. Why hasn't he said anything?
"Gibbs you're making me nervous. The kind of nervous were you are about to tell me I got fired or I would have to play Dinozos wife in a new case."
"Why wouldn't you stab him, when you had the chance?"
Her mind immediately flashed back to the room and to that moment when she was trying to stab the terrorist, but she couldn't do it. Kate shook her head to erase the memories.
"Duck told you didn't he?" She asked.
Gibbs said nothing.
Kate added. "I couldn't stab him because…of his eyes."
Gibbs looked at her questionably. "His eyes?" He asked.
"Yes, they looked kind."
"Well," Gibbs said, leaning over and looked her in the eyes.
She could feel his breath on her neck, he came soooooo close. It looked like he was going to kiss her. But then he said, "Eyes can lie." But he stayed that close to her for what seemed like forever. Is he going to kiss me? She thought. Sadly he pulled away and continued watching her for a few seconds.
Kate had to admit it to herself, she was disappointed. She had desperately wanted him to kiss her, but he hadn't which reminded her that he was her boss and that they couldn't cross that line. I don't even know how he feels, she thought. Oh well I guess I'll have to wait and see.
