"Thump, thump...I could hear the sound of her heart beating. She had tried to hide from me. No longer. She had no choice. Her heartbeat quickened as I walked closer. My grin grew as the time came nearer. I slowly, But firmly, placed my hand around her waist. She shivered, but then did the same around my neck," Dracula glanced around the hall full of his children listening to his story intently. He was obviously taking too long because one of the children shrieked, "Finish the story," and he was forced to continue. Dracula cleared his throat and began again, "I lead the way, swaying back and forth. We danced for hours upon hours. She was a wonderful dancer. When we had finally gotten tired of dancing, we walked over to stand in the corner, hand in hand. We sat there for the rest of the night and kissed. Aleera was a wonderful kisser. Actually, I would say she was the best out of all my brides. I never could understand why she hated dancing so much though. I always had to chase her down. I got used to it though. One day I just stopped trying to chase her down. That was the first day I ever danced alone...and it wouldn't be my last." Dracula looked down as he finished his sentence. He wished that his Aleera would come back to life, but it wasn't going to happen. He sent his children to their coffins and cried the rest of the night. If only she were there to comfort him.
