Chapter one

:: Flashback . . . .

Harry and Hermione were the perfect couple. They had been together for 2 years going on to three. They were so in love, and no one could've broken them apart. Everything was Perfect. . .

" How COULD you Harry ?! " yelled Hermione through her tears, " How could you DO that to me ? I thought you loved me !! "

" Hermione, please, calm down. I was drunk I didn't know what I was doing ! Please give me another chance." pleaded Harry.

" Why were you drunk in the FIRST place, Harry? Why did you lie to me ? I can't believe I had to hear this from Ginny, and not YOU ! " cried Hermione.

" Hermione, I didn't want you to be hurt. I just didn't know what to do.. I'm s.. so.. sorry. "

Hermione sighed and wiped away her tears. She couldn't stay mad at him. She leaned forward to Harry and pulled him close. "I still love you," she whispered.

Harry hugged her tight. "I love you, too.. Hermione, I'll never hurt you again, I promise. "

Hermione closed her eyes hoping that was true.

After that fight, Harry and Hermione were back to normal. Everyday was great, and Hermione was happy everything was forgotten. Then one day ...

" Hermione, ... umm .. we have to talk."

" Sure Harry! What is it ? " said Hermione cheerfully.

" Well .. It's kind of .. private .. could we go to the Common room ? "

" Er .. Okay, Let's go now. "

They walked hand in hand to the Gryffindor House and Hermione said the password. They sat in the comfortable chairs near the fireplace.

"What is it Harry, is something wrong ?"

" NO! no of course not, " Harry said quickly. " Actually yeah .. "

Hermione was beginning to feel nervous . " Okay .. What is it ?"

" I ... I don't .. think .. "

" What Harry ?! "

"I don't think we should be together anymore."

:: End of Flashback . .

Everyday Hermione would cry herself to sleep remembering how they loved each other so much. What had happened ?

Thoughts like these filled her head everyday. She thought about him so much, that her usually above outstanding grades were falling. Nothing mattered to her anymore, why did it ? There was no one for her to love, no one to love her. Her life was pointless. He had made her so happy, so .. free. When she was with him, she didn't have to worry about anything. Just being next to him would make her the happiest girl on earth.

Now, everyday it breaks her heart over and over again to see him with another girl on his lap drooling all over him. Couldn't he see how much he was hurting her ? But she went on with her life like nothing was bothering her. She'd always put a smile on her face to hide the pain behind her appearance. Only one person could see through her. And that person was Draco Malfoy.
